  1. I am very sorry to hear that you had a disappointing experience. The reviews we are getting run the gamut from "fabulous" to "truly awful" and everything in-between. So I take it this was not your first cruise on Carnival. Have you tried other cruise lines? I have not sailed with Carnival but do have 38 cruises with Royal, Celebrity, Princess, Holland America, NCL...We have sailed three times since cruising opened up again and were fortunate to just have minor holdups and mishaps. Did you happen to use a travel agent to book your cruise? If so, they would most definitely take up the fight for you.
  2. Welcome KentL! Lots of information on the site - take a look around and if you have any specific questions, don't hesitate to ask. We love to talk about cruising and are interested in the cruises you have done and maybe have coming up!
  3. Have a glorious cruise - we want to hear all about it when you return!
  4. It can get kind of confusing but everyone should always read the information specific to their particular cruise!
  5. And we'll be on it with you - so looking forward to it - the dining options look amazing! And then, of course, there's Iceland!!
  6. BookerMD - Glad to have you hear - tell us about your cruise plans and past experiences - we love to share here! And don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have! Welcome Aboard!
  7. Welcome DBissellTrave! Hope you will post with your cruise experiences and future plans! Take a look around the site and let us know if you have any questions!
  8. Not cruising on this one but hope you find some fellow cruisers and have a fabulous time! Please let us know all about it when you return.
  9. And that would be a whole 'nother conversation to have, right?! Never never go without insurance - especially in these uncertain times!
  10. Hope it sticks around for our sailing in May - it sounds fantastic!!
  11. Yikes! While it was unfortunate for sure that her luggage did not arrive, I'm wondering why she didn't purchase at least a few items of clothing at some of the ports? They also usually have some nice evening wear options in the cruise shops. Purchases necessary to meet needs up to a certain dollar amount are generally reimbursable.
  12. We do love San Diego. And that is where we go out of and into this November and....that 35-day one...in case you need more enticement. 😉
  13. Our cruise in June on the HAL Eurodam was fantastic from start to finish. The ship was beautifully maintained, the crew were always friendly and provided superb service. We had sailed this ship before, so was very glad when I found our perfect Alaska itinerary as well. This was our fourth trip to Alaska, but this time we took our 12-yo grandson; he absolutely loved every minute of the ship, the ports, the excursions...everything!
  14. Glad to see this - more choices for the West Coast will be great to have!

    Galveston

JMK - Carnival and Royal Caribbean sail regularly out of Galveston; Disney, NCL, and Princess have a smattering of sailings as well. Not sure about others - if anyone knows more, please add to our conversation!
  16. I believe it is still going strong; I know the new NCL Prima will be stopping there for one cruise in the fall; Carnival and Royal Caribbean are still sailing regularly from there. Whoever else know more details - please post here!

Welcome Aboard, Jjulie!   Nice to have you here and thank you for posting already!  Do you have any cruises coming up?  I see NCL is your favorite cruise line.  I will be sailing Norwegian for the first time next week to Bermuda on the Pearl.  We have been on 35+ cruises, but first time on NCL.

  18. Welcome Aboard, Reynaxo! Let us know what your cruising plans are and how we can help provide information - we look forward to reading your posts!
  19. I would love to be going with you but...I am booked on HAL's 35-day South Pacific, San Diego to San Diego in 2024! This will be for our 50th Anniversary (yes, he is going, too, lol!) So I am very interested to hear how this one goes. Please be sure to come back and tell us all about it...you can even post a cruise review here for others to reference! I hope you have a fabulous time!
  20. Yes - have a great cruise. I have never sailed on Windstar but I hear it is spectacular! Please come back here and tell us all about it!
  21. I do love a good Casino - so love this article. Unfortunately we are not "high rollers", so don't often get casino perks, but we just enjoy spending an hour of an evening or two amid the excitement of a buzzing casino!
  22. Tony - are you referring to like the drink packages or dining packages. I've noticed since the restart that they are not always available this far in advance - so that may be the case here. Keep checking back. Are you working with a travel agent at all or did you book on your own? If you booked on your own you can always call Royal, and will be able to tell you when the various packages, shore excursions, etc. will open. A travel agent could also do that for you.
  23. Welcome, Tony! How exciting to be going on your first cruise. The Navigator is a great ship - lots of fun venues along the promenade. Is this the 3-night itinerary to Ensenada? That is a great way to test the cruising waters. My bet is that you will want to go back for more! We have been on about 35 cruises now because we absolutely love everything about it: the ships, the ocean, the ports, the food, the entertainment. Be sure to post any questions you might have - we are always happy to help! And hopefully you will find other CruiseCrazies who are going on that same cruise.
