JoeyandDavid
Did anyone that has gone to South America have any shots?? Hi Boat... when ever we travel I make sure to let my primary care physician know where I will be traveling.. they keep up to date on which countries have outbreaks that could be of concern for your particular health situation... Just a thought...
RNSANE
Wherever I travel, I check out the Center for Disease Control website for immunization recommendations in countries I will visit. Also, if you're in a city like San Francisco, there are travel clinics ( the city and county of SF even has one ) which can help with recommendations ). For example, when I went to India, I got EVERYTHING suggested. Many of these shots need to be started several months ahead. And some medications, such as those for malaria, must begin before one goes to the country and continue after one returns.
