COMPLETE REVIEW

We've booked a cruise from Venice to Barcelona, 12 day meditterean cruise with my father, brother and boyfriend. We got in Venice a day early because our flight from Amsterdam was way cheaper that day

Embarkation:

Since we couldn't wait to see the newest ship in the princess fleet we decided to go early. We got there by 12.30 and there was no line at all..!! Once we got checked in and got our cruise cards (which was 10 minutes after we dropped off our bagage) we took our welcome onboard picture and got to the ship by bus. The ship was faboulous! We've been onboard the Star and Carribbean and they are pretty much similar but these small things make a huge difference. Since it was my boyfriends first cruise we just started to check out the ship while it was still queit.

The ship:

We all just loved the Emerald Princess.. Everything was so modern(autosoap, automatic doors everywhere and all those little things) One thing different from the Grand class is the backship. I personally liked this better! It?s so open and nicely decorated. Not the big skywalker above you which only gives shade! Also different is the atrium. They call it the Piazza and I think it?s really, really beautiful! They added the Vines and Seafood bar and the Internatiol cafe both had little charges on their food and ofcourse the drinks.

Dinner:

We had Anytime Dining.. We didn't chose it ourselves but we absolutely LOVED it! We always had dinner in the Michelangelo diningroom located on deck 5,midships. Our first waiters were okay but suddenly they were very stressed so we chose to get another table. Second day we got Ramona and Milo. They were absolutely amazing! Very nice, very proffesional they were just awesome at what they did. So we stucked with them all of our cruise. That what was so nice about anytime dining. We got the same table every night but we could just show up at any time..wonderful! The food was also really nice.. even though one day I asked for a medium filet mignon and it was overdone.. For dessert I asked for vanilla ice cream with fresh strawberries even though it wasn't on the menu I ofcourse got it.

Stateroom:

My boyfriend and I were in C203 (deck 10, front ship) and my dad and brother were in C221 just a few staterooms down the hall. We had an inside stateroom just as always because we're just never there. The room was nice and comfortable not too big ofcourse, but certainly not too small. The sheets we're soooo comfortable! Our stateroom steward was Laurence.. A really nice guy from the Phillipines who did a great job! The tv had the news channels, Eurosport, Princess Channels and a few movie channels with different movies over the 2 weeks.

I could talk hours and hours over the Ports of Call but the medditerean is just as wonderful. We had: Venice, Athens, Kusadasi, Istanbul, Mykonos(which we skipped because of bad winds) Naples, Rome(WONDERFUL!) Livorno, Marseille and Barcelona.

Disembarkation:

Went just as smooth as our embarkation. We had Yellow 3 which supposed to disembark between 8.10/8.30. We had breakfast at the Horizon Court and got called right at 8.15. We got in to the terminal found our luggage within 5 minutes where the cabs we're waiting in line and everybody was escorted in one by police.

Pictures are coming soon since when I'm typing this I'm still in a hotel at barcelona
