  1. Shari, there was one section in a wind-sheltered area (ideal for those transatlantic crossings) on an upper deck in which most of the chairs were by reservation only. A tag with your name was placed on it, and a steward was up there dispensing wool blankets and hot drinks when needed. Most of the chairs on the ship -- and that goes for the pool area and promenade decks -- were open to all. I didn't see any problems with chair-saving anywhere on the ship.

  4. Hmmm... the deck chair I reserved for under $20/week on QE2 seems like a bargain.

  7. Like Jeff, I'd like to see the return of the serving tray for side dishes. I'm not big on starches, but I love vegetables, and the busboys/assistant waiters catch onto that quickly. (We have green beans tonight, madam, I know you will enjoy these...) I've also noticed that some lines are cutting down on the cold soups. My husband enjoys these and has remarked on several occasions that he missed them.

  16. Great review, Jason. I enjoyed reading it, and felt as if I was right there sipping hot chocolate as well. We're considering a similar cruise, so I especially enjoyed reading your review. We still haven't tried a Fantasy-class ship. Glad you had a great time with your family.
