    The Alaska Run - Carnival Spirit - was also my favourite cruise so far. No flights involved - with 8 friends - and I could take as many bags as Dh could carry LOL. The scenery was fabulous - so much so we are hoping to do it again in the spring - same ship, same itinerary but different group :o)

    I recently watched a ptogram on TV about NCL - the money they make from booze sales is out of this world VBG

    It's sad but it looks like the State of Alaska is going to loose out because of its need for higher fees. I can't imagine the ports will do well without the cruise ships.
