  1. Only watched Venice so far and I almost caught Howie smiling in the Gondola!! Will be back to see the rest.
  2. Rose: Great job on your review. Venice is our favorite port in Italy also. Been there three times so far and will be heading back in October 2010. We have our favorite resturant in the Hotel Luna just off San Marcos. I agree with you assessment of the Pizza in Italy. It was OK, but nothing to rave about. We've been to Rome three times but only once to Florence, so we are going to head back there next time. Pisa is indeed something to see. In Sorrento we had one of the best lunches of our lives. Again, great job.
  3. You betcha Steve! Make them late for dinner and you"ll have a real fight on your hands.
  4. Don't mess with a bunch of cranky old cruise passengers!!
  5. I should have know "something was up" when the driver got out and walked alongside the horse. It was kind of like the 1812 overture without the church bells. That's some climb!! Guess I can't blame to old horse too much.
  6. Never thought about that!! But, I'm sure you are right. Took a horse drawn carriage up to Ludwig's Castle in Bavaria and almost needed a gas mask.
  7. You're right, Joey. We had a ball. We really upgraded for our second cruise to the Caribe I:
  8. It was a different era, Joey. No 110 volts in the staterooms. The ladies had to go down the hall to a central room to use hair dryers, curling irons, etc. Sink was in the staterrom and the shower and toilet were not separated, so you had to remember to remove the toilet paper before you used the shower. WOW, as I write this I wonder why I ever went on another cruise??
  9. Our first cruise was aboard Carnival's Mardi Gras, now that is going back in time. We too have sailed the Ecstasy on a 4 day cruise.
  10. Enjoy every minute of your cruise,
  11. Guessed that. It's the only way you could have gotten that angle. David looks to be about my size and I just can't picture him on one of those little donkeys.
  12. Why kill a donkey, when you can ride in comfort. Even the local dogs take the cable car. We had one go up with us and he sure knew the drill.
  13. Joey: You forgot to tell her about the cable car. Tsk, Tsk.
  14. That's a very tough decision. I guess I'd say Venice, but agree with Jackie about Santorini. Capri is also very nice.
  15. Yep, we have sailed on her, but it has been several years ago. Mini-Suite seemed quite small with the least amount of storage space we have ever had onboard a ship. Rest of the ship was quite nice.
  16. Hi Cheryl. No site problems today.

  17. All right!! The long flights are behind you. Get some sleep and get ready for the cruise adventure of a lifetime.
  18. WOW, what a way to celebrate an anniversary!!!! I know you both will have a fantastic trip and I'm waiting to hear all about it upon your return.
  19. Not as far as I know. Never heard of that.
  20. Hey Shaunna: Great to hear from you. I'm keeping an eye of everything in LV while you're gone, so not to worry.
  21. On Princess we always ask for the foam Egg Crate pad for the bed. Works great. The Carnival Comfort Bed works for me with nothing special added.
  22. I think I'd opt for a change. A new ship is always fun.
