Had a very lazy but good day today just bein with my squeeze of 35+ yrs. :-)

Well it happened again yesterday. I was doing a slow burn d/t an especially galling incident with a person who has what I call a toxic combination of arrogance and self certainty when of of the chaplains came by and said 'bless you." Yep, the big man is in my life. Amen.

Well I read that to tenderize beef, like stew cuts rub in baking soda, let it sit for an hour or so, then rinse off and prepare. It works very, very nicely!

Sitting in waiting room for car servicing. A mom and her 4 yr. old comes in and she turns on Sesame Street for him. He says "mom I'm too old for this. :D

Tweaked my back today doing basically nothing. Just went into spasm as I was literally bending over to tie my shoe laces. Went to work and went right back home. Gonna apply heat, take ibus and hope it responds soon.

Good, good day. Watched Rick Bayless cook up some huevos rancheros, beans and make a delicious torta out of it so we had lunch locally at Mexican place then went to an outlet mall, strolled, contributed to the economy :D and just had a nice, decompression day which we both needed. The simple pleasures are the best.

I hope all on the east coast are safe, warm and sheltered.

Traffic sucks big time

Its hard to realize that the only person left from when I first started at the U of I in what was then CTU is leaving. I can't even begin to think of all who have come and gone but now I feel like, pardon the spelling, Chingaschook, the Last of the Mohicans. Sort of. :D. Anyway all I can say is thanks to Beth for all these great yrs. We've our ups and down, just like life. I will never forget what she told me once when I was pretty new. She. It's easy,very easy to be a critic. The trick is to get a point across in such a fashion that others feel like you are there to help them, not finger point.

Well I just checked my albums in photo bucket. It seems like they rearranged things and now my two albums have been put together into just 1. Bummer. Looks like I have to find another photo hosting site.

Sometimes I dont understand why somethings said with utter simplicity can be so misunderstood. Booked a hotel thru hotels.com which included R/T transport from/to airport. Contacted the hotel and they said to contact the booking agent as this was not a direct booking with them. OK so I did. Then its the old "its not our business to do this, call the hotel." So I say I did and yada, yada yada. So after speaking to 4 people inc. two supervisors and I still dont know if if they get. its easy....

Don't forget that just because a person treats YOU well doesn't mean its that way for everyone. Pay attention to how he/she treats others as well and if that way is not too cool remember that it could be you too someday.

I luv technology. Just spoke to my niece in India free. There's an app called viber. U can talk free to anyone anywhere who also has this app on their smart phones and its a free app as well
