  1. Hi Folks, Everything I have read about the Explorer has been positive. From service to activities to the food etc etc. You'll have a great time. Please write a review on your return.Happy Cruising! Regards, James.
  2. Welcome back folks. Glad you had a good time . That is a cruise I'd love to take.I've been intrigued by The Mutiny on the Bounty saga and it would be great to visit some of the islands involved. Ah, well maybe one day........ Regards, James
  3. Hi Joey once again, If you would like to read Donna's latest review (Caribbean Princess) May 2006 may I suggest you go to cruisecrazies.com, then Cruise lines then Prinsess. Go to page 5 and the date should be 12 June Her board name is Rollerdonna. The review is staggered somewhat but it goes up to part 12 and is accomanied by photos. Yep, the guy you see with her is yours truly!. Hope you enjoy the review. James.
  4. Thanks for your replies. Actually Joey, my wife Donna is the writer of reviews . She has received raves from other cruisers for her daily diaries. Donna is with another group on the net She has written about most, if not all the other 9 cruises we have been on and they were very honest, no nonsense, tell it like it REALLY is reviews. I'm virtually 100% sure she will "Do" the Century as well as the Westerdam. I'll try and get her to say hello to you all. Regards, James.
  5. Hi All ,Do hope a few of you Crazies will consider cruising on the Celebrity Century on 30th December this year. I'm sure it will be a fantastic beginning to the New Year!!. Our cruise visits Key West and Grand Cayman. The Westerdam cruise for the 4th March is no longer on our agenda. Regards, James.
  6. Thank you Joey, Mercedes and Scirocco for your good wishes. Not even a word of thanks from anyone in the company mind you. Just shows how times have changed. Ah well, I guess I should be grateful at my age to have a job. Thank you all once again. Regards, James.
  7. Hi Folks, Another awkward question from the James book of Thought! What would be the three things you could/would improve on on today's cruise ships? For example: More swimming pools including an inside one More reasonable drink prices. Better cushioned deck chairs Improve the Pool Bands!! An additional Purser's desk at busy times. Two Lido decks for Buffets More/less games for families/adults/children Better coffee! Anyway Dear crazies see what you can come up with. No hurry!
  8. I work for Air Canada as an Aircraft Technician. Been with them exactly 37 years TODAY. Am taking home the same pay as I did in 1990 due to cutbacks etc.etc!! So I rely on the bank to finance my cruises!! Regards, James!
  9. Nice review Mercedes. We would like to try the Liberty. However we have just finished doing 5 Carnival cruises and we need a change of cruiseline!!! I'm glad you enjoyed "Play That" My wife's favourite group is the Bee Gees and on learning this the duo sang some wonderful songs from the BG"s albums especially for her. Needless to say she was thrilled. One Day we hope to see them again as we rank them with the Never-to-be-forgotton Bert Stratton from the Caribbean Princess. Regards, James.
  10. Hi All, Where is everyone? I expected at least 50! Am on a coffee break and can't stay long. Regards, James.

  12. must be the after dinner cocktails. Folks gotta go as I'm in work. Boss won't like it!! Have a great time James
  13. Hi Mercedes, I haven't read your review yet but did you try the alternate dining? If you did were the duo of "Play That" from the Phillipines entertaining you? When we met them on the Valor last year they told us they were transferring to the Liberty for the European season then to North America for the Winter. My wife and I became friends with them and we thought they were fabulous especially singing the Neil Diamond and Streisland music Regards, James.
  14. Oh Dear, so one cannot bring even a bottle of wine or champagne on board at embarkation? Not good. I woudn't mind if the on board drink prices were reasonable but what I've read they are taking passengers for all they can get. I think this ruling stinks. As far as the ruling effecting the 18-21 year olds-that's O.K. But I'm definately not going to pay their dining room wine prices. 28 dollars for wine that is 12 here. Or 8-12 dollars a glass. No way Jose as the expression goes. Maybe I should stick with Carnival. Now you've wound me up!!!! Regards, James.
  15. Thanks so much everyone for your replies . Very enjoyable to read I must say. Yes, cruising is a really fabulous way to travel. Wish I could afford to go around the world. Just think of the 108 drinks of the day!!!!!! LOL Regards, James.
  16. Hi Everyone, First a little about myself then the question! Born Wales U.K. Live Montreal, Canada Married to Donna Age 62 Cruises 9 with 2 more booked. Fav: Cruise Line All Fav: Ships Caribbean Princess and Carnival Valor. Right, enough about me!! My question to you all is; Whilst waiting to embark your ship, what do you look forward to most? Is it lunch on the Lido deck or opening your cabin door for the first time? Is it walking out into the pool area and into a hot tub? Maybe the ship's drink of the day or grabbing a deck chair by the pool listening to the pool band? Could it be the Sail Away party or the Lifeboat Drill(yeah'right!!!!) What about checking out the fitness centre or going for a stroll along the promenade? I could go on and on (sigh) However in my case it is the walk up the gangway and entering the ship for the first time. Seeing the ship's staff, atrium and adjacent lounges usually brings on a feeling of complete and utter happiness knowing this is going to be my home for the next 7 days or so. Regards James.
  17. Thank you folks for the warm welcome. I am very impressed with the site and am looking forward to making a post in the near future. Warmest rgards Elfed (James)
