  1. Have a great cruise. But I think I asked you before Frostyboy about your fascination with the Sovereign-I don't think I received an answer. So can you tell me what you love about this particular ship? If it's personal then it's O'K. Regards, James.
  2. Hi Tim, Try shipstips.com This site I believe has an access to SOME ports. I think in the past I have typed in Fort Lauderdale port cams on Google and had some success. Regards, James.
  3. So you're on your way. Wish Donna and I were coming with you. Don't forget a review on your return . In case I miss your actual departure-HAVE A GREAT CRUISE. Regards, James.
  4. I sure could use that!!! Regards, James.
  5. Way to go Joey and David. As usual I'm jealous! Regards, James.
  6. Actually most of the popular lines have good kids' programnes today. Carnival's bigger ships enjoy a good reputation with teenagers probably a bit more than the others. We took our 16 year old a couple of years ago on the Valor and Legend and he had a pretty good time. Don't forget they are fully aware of mom and dad's presense and don't really let themselves go when parents are around!!! Regards, James.
  7. I'm jealous Mercedes! Always wanted to "do" Hawaii, but only after we have "done" the entire Caribbean!! I'm sure NCL will be fun. Regards, James.
  8. Oh, you are so lucky to sail on the gorgeous QM2 I wish you both a wonderful cruise. Tell us all about it on your return. Regards, James.

Hi Tim, Always wanted to do this lovely ship. There are 3 Formal nights on the 6 day Transatlantic run much to my surprise. Apparently Cunard take their Formals seriously! Having read many reviews of the Trasatlantic run you will never be bored. The days fly by. I don't think you will go wrong if you book that great Liner. Regards, James.
  10. Have a great cruise. Regards, James
  11. Hi Popsec, You're gonna love the Legend-and the urns! She's a great ship and easy to navigate around.Have a wonderful cruise. Regards, James
  12. Hello Chase, After a few bookings through agencies we decided we would book through the cruise lines themselves. You usually get a more "in depth" service and better hours of operation. (Here travel agencies close at 5 p. m. and are not open on weekends.) Also in our experience, cruise documents arrive earlier which makes your cruise feel even closer! Yes you may save a couple of hundred dollars through an agency but having had a few problems in the past with them, we will stick with the cruise lines. Regards, James.
  13. I would also like to add Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville. That is if you enjoy a fun bar scene. Regards, James
  14. No, not at all Lilrosie. Family comes first. I mean who are these people to bash you? Are they more important than family? No way. I say Go For It -to heck what others may think or say. Regards, James.
  15. Hello Tim, Very good question. But without visiting them all it's hard to say which is the best. So far St. Maarten and St. Thomas run neck and neck. Regards, James.
  16. Hi folks, Yup, I think I could do that!! That is as long as the potato weighed no more than a bag of MacDonalds fries!!!! LOL. Regards, James.
  17. Hi Skipper, I see this is your 47 th cruise-is that right? Amazing. I'm sure you will enjoy the Crown as I read most of the early "bugs" have been sorted out. Just for curiosity, which of your 47 cruise stands out as the best so far? Regards, James.
  18. Oh, I'm sure RCI will come up with a similar ship before your sailing date in November. Still it must have been very disappointing for you to find this out. You may be pleasantly surprised-maybe an upgrade and a newer ship!! All you can do is hope-right? Regards, James.
  19. Ah the Sprit Class! I believe the Legend is a one of the Spirit Class ships. I'm sure Jenn you will have a great time on that ship. I must admit, because we live in a cold climate , Alaska has never appealed to us. I have read many wonderful reviews of Alaskan Cruises but they are not for us. We are sea and sand people. Regards, James.
  20. At that price you could afford to hire a top chef from one of the other cruise lines to come and cook for you. Right? There again if you should fancy a late night snack such as a peanut butter sandwich or cheese on toast-you have the kitchen to do it. Mind you this is assuming it is fully stocked with food, not forgetting the wine and champagne!! Regards, James.
  21. Have a great trip folks. I've always wanted to do the Panama Canal from East Coast to West.Sounds like fun.Enjoy. Regards, James.
  22. Yes, Happy Sailing Andrew. You always have a good time on Carnival. Regards, James
  23. What an incredible deal! I thought I was up on good deals until I read that For MSC. Good for you. Regards, James
  24. Congrats: JoeAnne and wecome to Cruise Crazies-the nicest bunch of folks on the high seas! By the way what ship are you going on? Regards, James.
  25. Keep up your spirits Joan and Joe. I know what this is like having had to cancel a March 2007 cruise because of mainly financial reasons. I keep saying to myself I'm lucky to have any kind of job at my age (62) but still, after 37 years with the same company you would think my take home pay would be higher than a new employee. Not so! It is a worry for you I'm sure. But you still have a ways to go yet before your cruise. I bet you'll be on it. Regards, James.
