not making it to scheduled ports due to weather would be upsetting. Not sure it would "ruin" my cruise....but would certainly be distressing. When I went to Mexico last year we didn't know until after we got on board if we were going to Mexico or Canada. There was a hurricane. Thank goodness it took a different path and died down enough before we sailed that we were able to go ahead and go to Mexico. It was very stressful.

Don't make any reservations yet!!! I think Chuck and Lisa are planning on finding us a place with maybe some group discounts. So we can all stay together and have a "night before the cruise" party!!!

I spent a lot of time on my balcony last year looking for dolphins. I never saw one! We were in the Mexican Riviera. But on Loco cruise....we are cruising in January....which means whale season!!!!! Last year we cruised in September. Too early for the whales. I will be bringing binoculars for sure! We did see other ships last time. Not up close.....but close enough you could tell it was another Carnival ship!

I for one become very...ummm....focused when time ticks down. I had myself so worked up on my last cruise that I actually started crying when I spotted the ship from the freeway. I don't get to cruise as often as some of you....so it's a REALLY big deal for me when the time actually comes.

prefer docking in port. Mainly for the convenience of getting on and off the ship. There is something kinda cool though about being in the tender coming up on the ship and realizing how HUGE the ship is! Never had a really bad experience tendering....but did have some rough seas when tendering to Catalina. Didn't bother me....but hubby was a little green.

but not always.....I've known several people that didn't know till they boarded. But some of them got very nice upgrades, so it's all good!

Last year when we booked TBA balcony guarantee we were told that we probably wouldn't know our cabin until we boarded. BUT....when we got our docs a few weeks before our cruise our cabin assignment was on there. On the other hand....my ex who booked the same type of guarantee a few months later didn't learn his assignment until embarcation day. Guess we were just lucky! As far as what to put on your tags....I don't know. Perhaps you can ask your TA or call Carnival....

Catalina Island. Boring. Shops were WAY too pricey. We couldn't even go see the famed casino because of some kind of plumbing problems. If I take that cruise again I'll stay on ship for that port.

LOCO FUN!!!

this is one of the reasons I've always done Carnival excursions. I know they are more expensive....but the security of knowing that I'm covered should we not make it to port....plus knowing that Carnival knows I'm on one of their excursions should something delay that excursion makes me more confident. With that said...on my next cruise I am planning on doing things outside of Carnival. But it's a hard decision!

When I sailed the Pride last year I kept a journal. Kind of a pain in the butt some days.....BUT I was so glad I did it when I got home!!! Can't wait to get the PM Frank! I got a Wheel of Fortune shirt too! But I got mine honestly... .....a couple of years back they brought a crew to our local indian casino for auditions. I went, stood in line FOREVER, filled out my application....AND....*drum roll*....I got picked to go onstage!!! When they called my name I let out a blood-curdling scream, and according to witnesses jumped about 5 feet in the air. Then I took off RUNNING!!! Now mind you....I am not a wee thing....but I ran like the wind! As I neared the stage I realized I still had my purse in my hand...I didn't want to go on stage with that purse! Out of the corner of my eye I saw someone I knew...I HURLED my purse at her, not even stopping to see if she caught it. *LOL* I am told that as I was running up the stairs to the stage the host gave the audience a look of terror. But I screeched to a halt before I bowled him over. I then started squealing..."I'm Vicky, I'm Vicky", bouncing up and down the whole time. In fact....I'm told I didn't stop bouncing the whole time I was up there. They did a little interview...I don't really remember it, but the audience was laughing the whole time so I guess I did ok. Then it was my turn to play. I solved my puzzle!!! Afterwards I bounced off the stage and filled out some more forms. They then gave me my t-shirt. After I went home I just knew every time the phone rang it was Wheel of Fortune wanting...no make that begging me to come on the show. Alas....they never called. I guess I was TOO bouncy for them. *heavy sigh* But did I let that deter me from wanting my 15 minutes of fame??? NO!!!<] Last year I sent in a video to be on Deal or No Deal. Love that show!!! Plastered on the back of the mailing box was a picture....of my husband and my brothers bald heads....with the words "Deal" on my husband's head...and "No Deal" on my brothers. I'm still waiting to hear from Howie.....

I have no desire to get on a computer when I'm cruising. I like to get away from everything and don't want to use up any cruising time on a computer. Plenty of time to catch up on email and boards when I'm back home.
