If I was going I would want to go during whale season. Nov - Feb. The whales there are awesome to watch! I like staying in Maui during whale season. They are in the channel right there between Maui and I believe Molokai. I could sit on my lanai of my hotel and watch them in the evening.

Ones that involve the beach, a lounge chair, and a bucket of beer! Although I really enjoyed the evening Pirate Cruise on the Marigalante in Puerto Vallarta. Lots of fun!
