cruiseduo
DW and I are going to be cruising more often (hopefully 4X a year) and believe that 'loyalty' programs are good for frequent customers. In that regard, we will most likely plan our cruises around one cruise line. Which, in your opinions of course, are the best? Consider the number of cruises needed to move up to different levels, redemption of rewards, customer service at different levels, etc. Your thoughts are appreciated. jbond
I only have experience with two, RCI and Princess. I think RCI has a better programme than Princess. Their Diamond is better than Princess Platinum and their Diamond+ is better than Princess Platinum Elite. That said, it takes 10 credits for Diamond and 24 for +, against 7 and 15 n princess. One advantage on RCI is they give extra credits for longer cruises and suite, whereas Princess doesn't.
Lisa63
I agree that RCI -- which includes Royal Caribbean and Celebrity -- has the best program. In addition to the benefits jbond mentioned, there are some shared perks between the two lines. For example, those who have achieved Gold Status or higher in Royal Caribbean's Crown & Anchor Club (after five completed cruises) "receive matching Captain's Club recognition when you sail our sister line, Celebrity Cruises," per the Royal Caribbean Web site. This perk is available only after earning the 5+ status on either line, and cruises cannot be combined, but is still an excellent benefit. cruisetarp
I have to repeat what the others have stated. Of all the programs we belong to RC wins hands down in the benefits department. We are diamond level and enjoy all the benefits and will receive the highest level status on Celebrity since they merged the programs. We especially enjoy the balcony discount and the Concierge Lounge has us a bit spoiled. They do make us feel very special when we cruise with them
