We're interested in a 2008 Alaska cruise, but we'll probably use a different cruise line - HAL or Regent, maybe even Crystal -- than most CCers.

What is the chat line, and how do you use it? I can't attempt to try it from work: all chat lines are blocked.

Joey, we know where it is, but don't know what it is. I've heard the term "chat line", but have no idea what it means.

Joe, "chat room" is somewhat like instant messaging. here will be a number of people on at the same time and they can just type what they want to say and it will appear instantly on the "chat room" screen, allowing you to viturally talk without waiting for an email to be sent. It will show the name of who said what.
