For me it was seeing the size of the vessel, awaiting out embarkation. It was amazing that you could see it so far away. And our first cruise was on the Holiday too. Just imagine those that take the Freedom of the Seas or such.

For me, it was the sheer size of the ship.

For me it was entering the port of Valetta, Malta and seeing a centuries old, walled fortress. It was like going back in time.

first the size then knowing i was on vacation and was not going to cook,clean,work, or anything.

most vacations are not as relaxing as a cruise so not doing anything took my breath away.
