TheSkipper
The future cruises we book while on board seem to be the ones we cancel to book something else. Never been forced to just flat out cancel a cruise. I'm kinda like Howard, always looking.
Joanandjoe
My company gave the thumbs up, so we're keeping our booking. Obviously, a lot can happen between now and when we cruise, but we plan on going. So, for now, our cruise cancellations will stay at two. Whew! Suzila
We had to cancel a cruise two days before we left. When my son was 17 years old he had recurring episodes with a collapsing lung (5 times). Somewhere in the middle of that horror, he had a collapsed lung two days before we were scheduled to cruise and we had to cancel. We had insurance and received the total amount back, even though we weren't really entitled to the entire amount (too close to the time of the trip). The insurance company felt bad for us because he had to go in for surgery, and they gave us the entire amount back.
Lisa63
It's so sad to read of the health reasons that forced cancellation. We've cancelled two cruises. One was due to health reasons of a traveling companion/close friend, and the other was because we changed our minds because of the falling dollar vs. the pound. Interestingly, both cancellations involved the same ship!
