why do you prefer cruises to land vacations

I agree with Joey, it depends on the destination. For the Caribbean a cruise is the way to go. In Hawaii, I did both and enjoyed the land vacation the best and Europe, you definitely need more than a day or two to really enjoy your surroundings. I use a cruise to Europe to see what countries I would like to return to for a land vacation. 2010 would probably be the year when I do no cruising, just visiting places more in depth that I enjoyed while cruising.

Either has it's perks - we do enjoy Vegas and it's pretty hard to get there on a cruise ship :wink2: But it is also great to wake up in a new port each morning. We always plan one cruise and one ladn vacation each year - with a couple of get-awaya in bewteen. No coooking, no housecleaning, no phones - priceless!
