When to go to the Fjords

Hi,

I was wondering when the "best" time to visit Norwegian Fjords is? I saw a deal for 7 days next May for £900 ish balcony and my husband thinks it is cheap as it is the wrong time to go, so I thought I'd ask the experts

Hi Alison,

Your husband is partially right because May is the shoulder season for Norway, meaning it will be colder - and less expensive. On the other hand, the midnight sun makes a greater showing from mid-May to late June (summer solstice). If you want to go when it is the warmest, then choose July or August - prices are highest during that time, though. Look for sales - cruise lines frequently have Europe deals.
