Do You Want To See Australia’s Largest Cruise Ship From The River To The Sea?

Well now you can with Australia’s biggest Cruise ship Ovation of the Seas navigating the river "Ems" from Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany to Eemshaven, the Netherlands on March 11 and 12, 2016.

The 348 meter long ship with a tug boat formation was navigating the narrow river guided by Differential GPS.

The Ovation of the Seas together with the Quantum and Anthem of the Seas are the third biggest cruise ships in the world and actually the biggest ever build in Germany at the Meyer Weft shipyard.

Ovation Of The Seas is due back into Sydney on the 02nd Of November 2018 to start her third summer cruising season in Australia.

Yes it is a small passage but very little current, moving very slow and not really a big deal. Every ship coming out of this yard must make this river passage,  they have never had a single issue or problem doing it.  It looks much harder than it really is.  They have small tugs and tow ships to help them, the river is being check by the advance boats in front of the ship, it is a long process but not one that is a problem.

The problem with the internet is people post false information and take no responsibility for it. The above statement is absolute false and not correct.  Royal has built four Oasis class ships all 220,000 plus GT, the  Quantum class ships are  168,000 GT.  The MSC Meraviglia is 171,000 tons, and the Norwegian Joy is a little lager than the Quantum class ships (As per Meyer Weft Shipyard)   so at least six current ships are larger than the Quantum class ships.

Also not the largest cruise ship built and delivered to date Norwegian Joy is listed by the yard as the largest delivered cruise ship. 

Maybe before posting people should have the correct facts in place and not post what they want to believe.
