Montego Bay is a port we would not venture out on our own. As long as you are with an excursion group you should be okay. Also, there is a secured shopping area at the port. We will be there is Sept and may just stay aboard ship that day. Also, welcome aboard the CruiseCrazies ship!

Great review, John! We looked into booking a 7 day cruise for Sept, however we got sticker shock! We ended up booking a 7 day cruise on the Conquest out of NOLA.

We agree with Larry, the review was excellent. Your honest appraisal of the RCI ship was great info. So glad the itinerary was good.

With airline travel from our city being so expensive and inconvenient our first priority now is embarkation port and then ship. Itinerary has become less important.

Funmoments, welcome aboard the CruiseCrazies ship! This being your first cruise, you are in you a treat! As far a single, you won't be alone. You will get a daily activities program delivered to your stateroom which will include singles get togethers. As far as excursion go, you will have many to choose from. It depends on what you like and your port of calls. Don't be shy, ask questions on this forum as there are plenty of knowledgeable members here to give you answers. We will be on the Conquest for the Sept 16th cruise. It will be our first time on this ship. We have our cruise posted in the roll call forum. You can post yours there, as well. On our Celebrity Constellation cruise in Jan 2008 at our last port of call, which was St Martin, a 43 year old Canadian woman from our ship passed away while scuba diving. We were told she had a panic attack while under water and shortly after they brought her up she went into cardiac arrest and they were unable to revive her. Her body was brought back to the ship and stored in the morgue. It had to be an agonizing two full days at sea for her husband before the ship arrived back at Port Everglades.

We were at Falmouth on our last cruise. Can't help you much as we just got off and did some shopping and had a drink in the secured area. It was all new.
