  1. The SAPPHIRE is one of those ships that is just the right size. Easy to find your way around. Enjoy!!!! We found it to be rather quiet but it was the Alaska run so not as much on deck or pool time, more relaxing. We went horseback riding on the beach in Mazatlan with Randy's Happy Horses. It was the hilight of that cruise for sure.
  2. I have to second Carmen and Ray's opinion. The temple is a must. It was so serene and headstones in the cemetary were very unique! Also the punchbowl cemetary and the Missouri were a great experience.
  3. It's a go for the fall foliage cruise - sailing on Carnival Glory on September 24th. We plan on touring the Big Apple, Atlantic City and the Jersey Shore for several days pre cruise. The Glory was our first cruise experience.
  4. Two words ....... RAIN GEAR layers work well but you have to keep dry :o) The trip up and down the coast - most days were sunny mid-50's.
  5. Once they start charging for toilet paper I'm out lol
  6. Carnival has a great "Photographic" excursion in Juneau It took us out whale watching and to the Mendenhall glacier. The phographer/guide gave us lots of tips. We saw many, many whales as well as eagles fishing and the noisy sea lion colony. We got lucky at the glacier and caught a bear scooping a salmon out of the stream. DH went zip-lining in Ketchikan and raved about it. The ports are all great for just walking around and shopping. The waterfront area in Victoria is very pretty. Our provincial government building is great in the evening when it is all lit up.
  7. We would definatly just roll with it - like a roll of the dice, or a pull on a slot machine :o)
