I don't think anything is going to happen to the SS United States. I've read articles where they stated it's simply not cost effective to restore her. Look what happened to the SS Independence. She was also bought by NCL to be retrofitted and be part of NCLA. After sitting in SF for a few years, she was recently towed away under secrecy, probably headed to India to be scrapped.

Joey, I meant all ports visited and including embarkation and debarkation ports. Sorry I wasn't clear.

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Miami 2 1/2 years ago. We were part of a group cruise and some of us used Priceline. Many of us got rooms for $65 to $75, depending on our bids. It was a nice hotel with free shuttle to the ship.

Since I'm an early bird, I do go out on the upper decks to see the ship pull into port. My wife thinks I'm nuts!

Joey, the prices are great except for a balcony! I was thinking about booking that cruise. But again, I cancelled 3 cruises for fall 2008. I booked, cancelled, rebooked, cancelled, etc......you get the nutty picture. Just can't make up my mind!

They still had the Cova Cafe as of April. You'll never know Joey, you might see me onboard.
