  1. Very fun to read your review. . . I need to go there after reading this! Thanks for sharing.
  2. Thank you all. . Rogue, I am aware of the long drive and the mile walk to the place they do the excursion. I have talked to people who have done it and liked it very much. We are going the end of Feb, so I hope the water is good for us. Either way, I will be sure to let you know. Thanks for the advice. . . I think it would be so nice to have a place on this site that is dedicated to excoursions, ports and even categorys like snorkeling, scuba, and the sort?. . . Anyone else agree with that?
  3. I am all better now. . .I got the arrangements made to sail on the Grand Princess out of Galveston coming next year. We are going to go with Valeri's sister and husband. We look forward to always having something scheduled. . . Looking forward to some new ports. Cave Tubing in Beleze is suppose to be spectacular. . .
  4. I don't think I would want a 'Free' Criuse. . . I might have to sit in 20 timeshare presentations and could very possibly have to slit the wrists of those presenting. . . It would just get ugly and fast.
  5. Life is very good sitting on the side of getting ready to leave. I know you will have a wonderful time. (As for me, I just got back, Denial aint just a river in Egypt.) Have fun my friend. .
  6. GregsWife, I was in Grand Cayman last week. I went and swam with the stingrays and it was one of those experiences I will remember for me the rest of my life. It was too choppy to snorkel there, but was fun to feed the stingrays and play with them. As for the little shack you are talking about, I bet it is there. I did not see any signs of a hurricane. Everything looked great and this is a wonderful island in my opinion. Not much help, but I think you will find what you are looking for. The reefs all looked in tact and the beaches were beautiful.
  7. Larry, I see what you are saying. I know that if it was me who was bumping somebody for any reason at all. . . I would have taken much better care of them than offering 25% off on their next cruise. I would have moved them to a better stateroom, offered on borad credit and made all the arrangements or even offered to pay to put them on a different cruiseline. After reading what I read, I would never book with them either. I appreciate your insite. Very well said.
  8. It is always fun to run into fun things in life that you can't comprehend or imagine on your own. . . Fun things just happen sometime. Thanks to all of you for sharing fun times with me here. .
  9. Robert. . I don't know what you are talking about on your review not being detailed. I just took a different approach is all. I really enjoyed reading it and somehow felt like I was there. . . (Maybe because I was there? I don't know. . )
  10. GregsWife, Thanks for reading. I am glad you enjoyed it. You will love the Conquest. It is a beautiful ship. I am looking into another cruise right now. I sure have learned a lot from all of you. Thanks for taking time to help me maximize my fun.
  11. The cruiseline offered one, but it was worth an extra $20 not to have to get hearded into a bus or share a ride. We got picked up both times with no waiting and no problems. It was very well worth the money.
  12. Anticipation is killing you! It will be here before you know it! Take it slow! We are excited with you!
  13. I think Jimmy has it right on this one. The cruise line does have to worry about profits in every instance. I am sure that the amount of money the cruise line made was enough to bump several people to stay profitable. I am not saying that they are right or wrong, but we all need cruise lines to be profitable so we can all keep cruising.
  14. Work is so over rated. . . I am still trying to get back into the swing of things. . . So anti-climatic. . . I better hurry and book another cruise so I work without thinking about booking another cruise.
  15. Did you order one? Was it good? Did it taste like Chicken?
  16. Hello Cruiserwannabees! I too am from Utah and have just returned from the same cruise you are going on this past Sunday. Scirocco and I were on the same ship. We were not on the Conquest, but saw it in all the ports we were at. There was even a time we were side by side heading home. It is a beautiful ship and I have pictures, both day and night. I feel like I have a lot of things I can tell you that will help your experience be a good one. I think we both have the same challenges being from the same area in transportation. Please PM me and I would love to tell you what I have learned. I think being prepared to know what to expect can only enhance your fun, especially with the not so fun parts of traveling such as shuttles and off shore excoursions. Welcome!
  17. Robert, I did write and submit a review today. I am so bummed out that I missed your message! I would have loved to go to on the tour of the bridge!
  18. I just got back from the Gulf and saw Flying Fish! Yes, they take of out of the water and fly in the air just a few inches above the water for about 100 yards or so and then disappear back into the water! I would have never believed it if I had not seen it with my own eyes! Anyone else seen these guys before?
  19. Welcome back Robert! I am sad that we didn't hook up! I also had a great time. I look forward to hearing about your experience! Mine was amazing!
  20. If you guys haven't started packing yet, you might want to get started! See you soon!
  21. Bon Voyage! Exciting to sail on a new ship!
  22. Robert and Annie, Valeri and I are excited to meet you! Thanks for all your help getting us ready! We will see you on Sunday!
  23. See you soon! Valeri and I are excited to meet you.
  24. Thanks for the warm wishes. . . We are going to be meeting up with Robert and Jackie. I look forward to it. I know I am a slacker, but leave in the morning and have not started packing yet. I am just going through the cruise packing lists and have a LOT to do today. I look forward to lots of reading and relaxing. . . and NO PHONES please! Valeri and I went to the bookstore last night and I think we will be set. We leave Salt Lake at 7 am Saturday morning, that means we are up at about 4 am if we have everything packed in the car tonight. I will keep a journal and share with all of you when I get back. Thanks again for the warm wishes. Bon Voyage!
  25. I am signed up! Look forward to meeting all of you!
