  1. I wanted to celebrate my BIG 40 <] in style! So DW and I went on the SS Norway to the Caribbean. We had a great time and I sailed through my 40th, 50th and 60th with ease. Unfortunately, it took us a while to have the time and $$$ to cruise again. Now we're back on a two cruise a year schedule.
  2. Gregswife, WELCOME and give our regards to Greg.
  3. As a former resident of both NJ and NY, we welome you to CruiseCrazies. You will enjoy the time spent here and learn a lot about cruising and many other things.
  4. I have a black tuxedo but I has shrunk about two sizes since I bought it. So, I need to buy another, (or lose weight . . . . it's easier to buy another) I am going to opt for another black because most of our cruises will be either in the spring or fall. For the times we may go in the summer I'll just wear the black. Anyone know if they make a tuxedo in a stretchable fabric?
  5. Welcome to CruiseCrazies, Carmen. I am jealous of you going to Hawaii. I've been a retired salesperson for five years. My last territory was San Francisco, Las Vegas, Reno and Hawaii and they "made" me go to Hawaii once a month. I don't miss working and enjoy retirement but really miss Hawaii. Enjoy your visit!
  6. I know exactly how you feel, as I felt the same way. A DDM is a 'double digit midget', or someone who has less than 100 days before their cruise. I asked about it a week or so ago in the General Discussion Forum. You may see my question as well as the many great replies under the topic Forum Abbreviations, New Guy Doesn't Understand Them <] Just follow the forums through ...... CruiseCrazies - Forums -> Community Forums -> General Discussion Thanks for re-asking the question.
  7. Just last week I learned about the CruiseCrazie abbreviations and now I are one . . . . . . 97 days to cruise day on the Mariner of the Seas!
  8. Some really good wines now come in (believe it or not) SCREW CAP bottles. And, some above average are in 3-liter boxes that won't break or need a cork screw. Of course, after about four of five glasses, don't tend to taste the same (LOL).

  19. Trying to do at least two a year. More if possible.
  20. Anyone know where I can find the Wi-Fi costs for the RCCL Mariner of the Seas? Going in October and wonder if I should take my laptop.
  21. I would go as soon as I could. It would be the most inspected ship on the sea and everyone would go out of their way to make the guests happy. Maybe they would even discount the cost.
  22. Probably more than anyone needs to know . . . . . . . I retired from Kodak five years ago. Now, I 'dabble' in real estate, work part-time as a security officer at the Daytona International Speedway (just during races, etc.), take pictures now and then, and also volunteer at the local library. My DW has been a 'stay at home' mom and homemaker since we've been married. To help her 'retire', I also am vacuum man, 75% cook and 'honey-do list' completer. We've been married 42 years and never have lived more than five years in one place. Now that we're retired, we've already broken that record and have lived in Florida for just over five years.
  23. Thanks for the link to the photos. They are a great preview of what's to come. Howard
  24. Oldefox, welcome to what I consider the best cruise forum. You will learn a lot and have some fun.
  25. Forget about tax day and head out to sea!
