Wow!! That is my DREAM CRUISE!!! As soon as the kids' are all off to college.. I'm booking that cruise!!! Only 16 more years to go!!!! I can't wait to read your review!

I have a few times, but I much prefer sitting on our balcony as we sail out to sea!

While I try never to take my kids' out of school, I did cave and pull them out for our 10 night Emerald Princess cruise back in March. Since the 10 night cruise started just a few days before their Spring Break, they only missed a couple of days of school. I wrote a letter to the school and told them about the different counties the kids' would be visiting and that they would both write reports on their adventures. My 11 year old daughter always keeps a journal of her travel adventures. I'm really proud that she and my oldest son really appreciate the different cultures they see and love to travel. Now that my oldest is going into Middle School, I doubt that I will ever pull them out of school again for a cruise!

Since I have three kids.. two of which are in school, time frame is the most important. I have to make sure our cruises coincide with school vacations!

I figured it was coming! 30% just seemed a little too much!

I have only taken one ship shore excursion. I prefer setting out on our own. We did save alot of money last summer when we decided to take a cab into St. Thomas and walk up the 99 steps to Blackbeard's castle, instead of taking the ship tour.

This was just announced by Princess Cruise Line. 2009-2010 Cabin Deposits Reduced to 20% Princess has lowered the cabin deposit requirements for new bookings on summer 2009 voyages and beyond. Effective immediately, all bookings* will require a deposit of just 20% of the cruise or cruisetour fare, reduced from the previously announced 30% requirement. We understand the challenges of today’s economic environment, and are pleased to make this change to help you. The World Cruise deposit will remain at 10% for the initial deposit. I never stay on the ship when we stop in port. I always try to find something new to do! So much to explore!

I thought I packed light for our 10 night cruise back in March, but still didn't use all of the clothes I brought. So I'm really going to make sure to pack as light as possible next time!

Since I have 3 kids.. I prefer to cruise in the summer. However, once they're out of the house and all grown up, I would prefer to sail in October!

I am so happy the Freedom is replacing the Mariner. I live just 40 minutes from Port Canaveral. My kids will love the Freedom.

I don't mind paying for my excursions in advance. I guess it's just one less thing I have to worry about shelling money out for while on the cruise! I don't always go with the cruise lines' excursions anyway! I love Shore Trips. I had a fantastic excursion though them on St. Maarten, and know if anything goes wrong, they will refund my money too!

We sailed the Sovereign of the Seas last month and visited Atlantis on our own. The taxi driver did tell us that if you stay at the Comfort Suites across the street, you can use Atlantis' facilities! We didn't sign up for a tour, we just walked through it. There was a tour being conducted inside and they did give alot of information. Since we had all 3 kids with us, we just headed for the Aquarium. It was very nice.

We are sailing on the Emerald next month and chose Traditional Dining. We chose late dining this time since we didn't want to rush to dinner after shore excursions. Plus, all three of our kids will be with us and waiting even 30 minutes with hungry kids can be tough!!
