cruisinmama
Additionally, flight insurance the Iveys bought before the trip did not cover the incident, which the insurance company classified as a delay, rather than an interruption. Thats just sad that it wasn't covered..I'd be really angry...poor people...
schatje
It is really sad for the people but isn't it typical for the insurance companies to try and get out of paying?
JohnG
The insurance companies all have written policies which are carefully vetted by lawyers and completely describe what they will and won't cover (covered conditions). The problems come when the traveler tries to mold their situation to fit the cast iron wording of the policy. It is no different than the "boilerplate" fine print on your document/ticket from the cruiseline.
schatje
Thanks John for setting things straight. Just a reminder that we should all read the "small print"
