JoeyandDavid
The TSA maritime passenger security branch works closely with government agencies such as United States Coast Guard (USCG) and industry associations like the International Council of Cruise Lines (ICCL) on all issues of security related to the maritime passenger industry. For more information regarding cruise ship security as it relates to the traveling public, please go to the International Council of Cruise Lines website: http://www.iccl.org/
schatje
I'm glad to hear that the cruise ships at this time have not changed their policy regarding carry-ons. I thought I would wait until we get to Florida to buy our needed essentials like shampoo, toothpaste etc etc. and just carry them on the ship in the store bag. As an added bonus I won't have to use up space in my luggage for these items or be concerned that they may spill. On the way back home I'll just dispose of them before we leave. We have dollar stores around here by the dozens so I hope I can find inexpensive items to purchase in Fort Lauderdale. Does anyone know of a place to purchase inexpensive items like shampoo, toothpaste etc. in Fort Lauderdale since we are going to dispose of any left overs before we go home? matchstickxx
Mary, where will you be staying? There is a K-mart pretty close to FLL and Port Everglades in Hollywood Florida. http://www.google.com/maps?hl=en&lr=&rls=D...&ct=result&cd=2 I think the area is called Oakwood Shopping Center. There is also a Big Lots across the street from K-mart. Before our last three cruises we have utilized both Big Lots and K-mart for picking up some things we forgot to pack.
