cobaltbluechaser
Hi all, i've narrowed my cruise to eastern or western caribbean. Is there a good website to show all the excursions at the different locations? This might be a big factor into which one I choose....if any suggestions please let me know...thanx chase
JoeyandDavid
Chase it is really about doing your own homework in each port of call. as a starting point you may just want to "google " the name of the port and start browsing around all sponsored web pages . after 2 or 3 you see what the island has to offer.. of course the Cruise website would be another great source of information as to what "they Recommend for those of call.. joey Good luck... and have fun planning

schatje
In what time frame do you want to sail? I would go with your gut and choose one. Then start doing the research as to which islands you would like to see and then match the ship going there. There are way too many choices until you narrow it done to Eastern or Western. Just have fun putting it all together

JohnG
All of the cruiselines have their own excursion list on their website, usually under the "before you sail" link or something similar, like "for booked guests". There is a company that runs many of the very same excursions that the cruiselines run, but a bit less expensive. www.shoretrips.com Just click on the area you want to go, in this case the link is Caribbean and Bahamas, then you can browse the excursions in each port, giving you an idea of them. However, you don't have to use commercial excursions. As other have indicated above, research the area a bit and decide what you would like to see or do. You may be able to do it by taxi, or hiring a taxi for several hours. For instance, in St Thomas we take a taxi to Red Hook, then take a 20 minute ferry ride to St John, and a taxi to the beaches in the National Park. The excursion does the same thing, but charges considerably more. The advantage of ship's excursions is that they guarantee they will get you back in time.
