DebbieandJerry
Our friends went on Tahitian Princess which I think is now part of the Princess fleet. Smaller ships. They loved it. I'm jealous. I hope this works out for you. It sounds fabulous.

In return we decided to plan this trip in 2012. We have been looking at Oceana, Paul gaugin, Princess, and one more I think. We have been reading that Marlon Brando's Private island is now or will be open to cruises and you can spend 2 days there. We are really excited. Thank you for your input. DebbieandJerry
Congrats all around: wedding, big cruise, something to look forward to. My cruise magazines feature Paul Gaugain and they always say 2 for 1 w/air. I'm not sure if it really is a deal but that is worth looking in to. The Tahitian Princess that my friends went on use to be a fleet of 7 ships that Princess acquired a few years ago. So they were not constructed for Princess. Oceana is way out of my price range so I never search their options. But this truly is a special event so why not splurge?!

Paul Gaugain sounds great but is still a lot more money. Edited January 10, 2011 by jobowl
zebra
Wow - Brando's island! It sure sounds exotic. We are planning on cruising the South Pacific next March o our way back from Australia/New Zealand, but we'll be visiting islands in New Caledonia, Samoa, Fiji and Kiribati. jobowl
Brando's son is trying to build a hotel an is having trouble something with in his will he didn't want the island to change. He felt if you take down a tree you would change the environment. This would be a great stop for cruisers. They tell me by 2012 it will be ready for day visits. We are waiting to book to see what happens. Your trip sounds fabulous. We have never been to the south pacific outside of Hawaii. So we are really looking forward to this trip. It will be Jackie's retirement gift. Let me know all about your cruise. Joe Wow - Brando's island! It sure sounds exotic. DebbieandJerry
I get lots of mail from Oceania. I typically toss it, thinking it is out of my price range. Guess I need to look at it the next time around.
jobowl
it is a high but they offer deals like 2 for 1 and 1/2 off on second person air. Worth a look. I get lots of mail from Oceania. I typically toss it, thinking it is out of my price range. Guess I need to look at it the next time around.
zebra
I would love to cruise Oceania, great ships and I love their itineraries. I too ind them to be very expensive, but obviously you get what you pay for.
