jobowl
Does anyone know if it is better to book to balcony rooms connecting.or a suit for 5. If we do the connecting rooms I guess 3 & 2 or 4 & 1. I want to take my Grand kids on a cruise I didn't realize this problem. I guess I should call the cruise line. Online you can't get info on 5. Anyone ever had this problem? any info would help. Thanks Joe

Depending on how old the kids are you could put them in the room across the hall from your balcony, get a suite, or get adjoining rooms. Most end up with 2 rooms. Good luck with the search
jobowl
I will have to price each way. It just would be so much easier if I could do it online. I called RCCL today. they would only give me a price on a certain cruise. Not real helpful They wanted me to tell them what I wanted and I don't know. The agent I usually deal with was Off today so I will try again. Sailingrose thanks for your reply.
DebbieandJerry
My sister and her family frequently cruise. They get 2 rooms. She and her husband get the balcony; she puts the "kids" across the hall in the inside room. Everyone loves this arrangement. Such a shame that customer service isn't what we want it to be. jobowl
this is looking like maybe the best option. One balcony and an inside room across the hall. Thanks for your reply. jobowl
Do you know if their card will open both doors. If not will they give out an extra card so I can open both rooms? this is looking like maybe the best option. One balcony and an inside room across the hall. Thanks for your reply. sailingrose
I haven't done this in a while but they did allow us to book our kids across the hall (at 15 and 17 years old) without booking my husband or I in their cabin a couple of years ago. Not sure what the policy is anymore. That said if you can't book the kids alone in the room, you book your wife in one cabin and you in the other, then go to guest relations and get extra keys to both rooms. The only downside is that both you and one of your grandkids will have to carry 2 ship cards.
cruisetarp
When we took "our girls" we had a balcony cabin and they had a promonade cabin across from us. We went to guest relations and they gave us a key to the girls room as well as giving the girls a key to our room. No problem at all. Good luck with the planning
