We have annual passes to Disney, so we go there a lot. Everytime we go, I make a beeline for It's a Small World!!! I think it's just beautiful. I usually ride it twice each visit, because I'll go back sometime in the afternoon when I'm hot and ride it again because it's always cool in there!

I LOVE sunsets, and have tons of beautiful pictures in my house of sunsets and will do my best to always see a sunset if possible. HOWEVER, my favorite time of day on the deck of a cruise ship is very, very early in the morning. Every single day, when we are cruising, I am up and on deck no later than 6am. To begin with, I love to watch us pull into port so I'm always up to see that. But it is so quiet and so tranquil, and the morning skies are so beautiful; my husband and son always sleep through it and every time, I tell them what a beautiful sight they missed!

Absolutely it's a cruise!! There is no minimum day requirement to make it a cruise! Actually, I'd be very interested to read a full review of your cruise on the Discovery. We only live about 3 hours from Ft. Lauderdale, and we have considered doing this Discovery cruise to the Bahamas many times. I'd love to get the perspective of this day-cruise from a "true cruiser". So be sure and have a wonderful time, and then tell us all about it when you get home!!

First thing is to always pick up my kitty cat and hug her real tight!! I always hate leaving her. Then we all settle down and look at the digital pictures we took, and watch the video. Usually we all take naps after that!

We were in Freeport from 7am until 4pm. The only thing going on, on the ship, was a card players meet, and card playing in the library, a volleyball tournament and a silent auction of Thomas Kinkade paintings. And, of course, the pools were open. We were in Nassau for 24 hours, but the casino still opened at 7pm. Carnival received a waiver about the casino being open while in port, since we were there for 24 hours. As for activities during the day, it was basically the same as Freeport, card playing, a volleyball tournament, and of course there's always chess, shuffleboard, and a reggae band playing by the pool in the afternoon. Hope this helps a little!

Also, with regard to your traveling companion being slightly disabled, when we sailed on the Fantasy this past January, the staff at the port and the crew on the ship treated my mother wonderful!! She was in a wheelchair at the time. We had taken a limo to the port, and the minute we got out of the limo and the port staff saw my mom's condition, they came running with a wheelchair. The staff on the Fantasy ship itself could not have been more accomodatingg; they were just wonderful! Do NOT hesitate to ask for any kind of assistance on the ship because I'm sure they will be just as helpful for you. Have a wonderful cruise on the Fantasy!!
