  1. Christmas on a cruise ship; sounds perfect to me! I've never sailed on the Destiny so I can't help you with that, but just wanted to say hi and welcome to the boards!
  2. They are so lucky to be able to do that! I hope they all have a fantastic cruise!!
  3. Looks like a shot from a Kenny Chesney video (my #1 guy!) so I'll say St. Barts.
  4. We sailed on the Carnival Pride on her inaugural 7-night cruise to the Eastern Caribbean out of Port Canaveral. All I can say is she is one gorgeous ship; simply beautiful!! The cabin was bright and clean, had tons of storage space and we just loved the balcony. Everything about the ship was just perfect!!! Happy Honeymoon!!
  5. Have a fantastic trip! Living between Orlando and Daytona Beach, we've been going through the same hurricane stuff like you; you definitely need a vacation! I hope you have a great cruise, and happy anniversary!
  6. Several times a day!!!! It helps to keep me sane.
  7. Being a HUGE kitty cat lover and having one as a pet, I find this story absolutely wonderful!! Thank you for posting.
  8. What a wonderfully positive attitude you have! I hope that your "new beginning" brings you much joy, good health, happiness and love!!
  9. BON VOYAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Have a fantastic cruise on that beautiful ship! BON VOYAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. That's so fantastic!! Cheryl deserves a nice, relaxing cruise! I hope Cheryl and her entire family have a great, great time!
  12. Your gift was more than enough; hair salons are extremely expensive today so that alone was a very nice gift, throw in the card with the check and your contribution to the dollar dance and you did plenty!
  13. The Fantasy DOES have an arcade. Our son is now 16 years old, and both times we sailed on the Fantasy, he was pleased with the arcade. He hangs out in the arcade on the first night of the cruises we take, and ends up making friends that he hangs out with during the cruise. I hope your son enjoys the arcade as well!!
  14. We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Fantasy; have sailed on her twice!!! She is a wonderful ship. Just like DaCruzNut said, the Fantasy has a fantastic layout; very easy to navigate and move around on the ship!! Be sure and check out the tables and chairs just outside of the buffet restaurant, on either side and aft; it is a wonderful place to sit, eat, relax and look at the beautiful scenery!!
  15. Have a fantastic cruise. Be sure and post a review when you get back, and post some pictures if you can, too! Happy sailing!!
  16. Well, you answered it for me...we go to the welcome aboard buffet! After that, we stroll all around the ship, get a bon voyage drink and stand on the top deck of the ship taking in the scenery!
  17. Since I always wake up very early to watch us dock at every port, on sea days I sleep in! We will usually hit the breakfast buffet right before it closes around 10:30am. Then we will spend all afternoon sitting on an open, outside deck and just taking in the sights and sounds of being at sea!!
  18. Boy, can I tell you are excited!! The countdown is always so exciting, but when you get within days of sailing, it drives you really nuts, doesn't it!? Have a wonderful time!
  19. I can't imagine taking a cruise without taking my camcorder. I have one of those little Sharp viewcam which I just love; I don't have to hold my eye up to the viewfinder; I can just look at the little screen on the video camera while I'm walking around videotaping! I tape everything from the sail away party, to docking at every single port, to the port themselves, the ship, activities on the ship, our cabin, dinner in the dining room because the waiters always put on a great show, and docking back at the home port. These videos are what help keep me sane in between cruises!
  20. Absolutely gorgeous! I have tons of photos taken from the top of Paradise Point, but nothing from this vantage point. Thanks so much!!
  21. For years, we bugged my in-laws to take a cruise with us. Having never cruised before, when we showed them to their cabin and they walked through the door, my mother-in-law promptly said, "Ugh, I feel like a cracker in a cracker box"! That set the tone for their whole cruise; needless to say, we don't bug them to cruise with us anymore!
