  1. JERICHO!! Jericho is my #1 favorite show, and they took it off the air. Thank goodness for DVDs of both seasons!!
  2. Mine came the other day, too. I LOVED the article on when ships are in drydock; very interesting to read about all that goes on! Dawn.

  4. Our very first cruise was in September, 1992. We went on the Atlantic (Big Red Boat). Our son was 4 years old and it was really great because back then, the Disney characters were on board! We were immediately hooked!! Dawn.
  5. We want to sail around the Hawaiian Islands, and definitely do a Panama Canal cruise!! Someday... Dawn
  6. Have a great time on your cruise!! Dawn.
  7. So sorry to hear about your friend's nephew; so sad. Glad to hear you loved cruising!! We only live about 45 minutes from Disney and will go to the Polynesian alot for dinner, and just to spend the evening walking around there; we love the tropical feel at the Polynesian. One night we had gone to the Kona Cafe for dinner, and while we were waiting for our food, my husband got up and left the table. He came back a few minutes later with a confirmation; he had booked us a room for the night, spur of the moment. It was $300.00, but wow, did we have a great time!! We stayed there a few years back for 4 nights and felt like we were on a tropical island; love the Polynesian! Anyway, anxious to read your view on the Sensation! Welcome home!! Dawn.
  8. Have a great cruise, and post some pictures when you return!! Dawn.

  15. We have always ordered room service, and we are always blown away at how quickly the food arrives to your cabin!! We first started ordering room service late at night when we were back at the cabin and simply didn't feel like going back out again because we were exhausted. On the last 3 cruises we sailed, we had a balcony cabin, and ordered coffee and bagels in the morning and ate them on the balcony, and then we ordered a mid-afternoon snack and ate that on the balcony as well. We have always been happy with the food, and like I said, the speed at which it arrived at our cabin. We love room service anyway whenever we go on vacation, but it's especialy wonderful on a cruise ship! Dawn.
  16. I forgot about the calendar, etc., so thanks for the reminder! Dawn.
  17. Have a great cruise!! Hope you post some pictures when you return; I love looking at everyone's pictures from their cruises! Bon Voyage!! Dawn.
  18. Well, as you can see by my signature, we have officially booked the Carnival Glory for January, 2008!! Gave our travel agent the $500.00 deposit today! We decided to pay the extra few dollars and pick out the exact cabin that we wanted. So, even though it's 9 months away, we are very excited!! Thanks everyone for your well wishes!! Dawn.
  19. Wow, that is great advice, thank you, Hazelson! I always look to see what's above us figuring noise would come from above; never thought to check out below us so I'm glad you mentioned it. Thanks again!! Dawn.
  20. You will have a balcony no matter what...that's a great way to look at it!! Thank you, all of you, for your responses!! We are very excited about our upcoming cruise! Dawn.
  21. As you can see from my signature, it has been way too long since we've been on a cruise. But with my dad's passing, and my mom moving in with us, we have not been in a position to go on a cruise and leave my mom home by herself. BUT...our son graduates high school in May, and will be living at home while he goes to college part-time and working, so he can be home everyday to check on my mom, take her where she needs to go, etc. We can't cruise this year because our vacations are already planned. So we have decided on January, sailing on the Carnival Glory. In looking at the prices, we can save $100.00 per person by booking a balcony guarantee, instead of picking out a specific cabin. I know a lot of people book guarantees so I'm wondering if this is the way to go. It would save us $200.00 total, $200.00 that we can spend in other ways on our trip. My question is if you could save this kind of money by booking a balcony guarantee, would you do it? Thanks for your help!! Dawn
