  1. Ah come on......I know someone has tried the casual dining!.....
  2. Yes, Mebert, and you leave just a few days after we do......the excitement builds.......
  3. We were on the Zenith but never tried the casual dining for dinner...is it buffet or from a menu? Also, how about the Constellation? Thanks!
  4. KarenUK......we loved the Zenith so that's why I chose it for my trip with Mom. I don't think she'll be as overwhelmed as she would be if I'd chosen one of the Mega ships Joanandjoe.....DH is as excited as I am about cruising...in fact, I get the day, hour, minute countdown from him every morning when I wake up  I've got everything laid out ready to pack but I wait til a couple days before to actually put it in the suitcase. DH leaves it up to me and just hopes I'll remember the important stuff like his beer can holder, etc LOL
  5. We finally are at the "under 2 weeks to go" mark before our cruise.......13 days to be exact. Can't wait to see the Constellation and spend 9 glorious days onboard. Is it time to pack yet????
  6. Doin' the doc dance with you!.....enjoy your countdown!
  7. congrats on receiving your docs!....we're doin the dance with you!
  8. I'm adancin right along with you! Isn't it hard doing the last 28 day countdown?
  9. Dancin' right along with you!
  10. Thanks all!.....I'm still doin the dance!.......must have dropped at least 5 pounds doin the Doc dance today LOL
  11. Thanks Mebert!.......and I see you've got reason to dance too! It's our first cruise out of Bayonne, joanandjoe, and we'll let you know what we think of Bayonne. It sure is nicer to drive 4 or 5 hours instead of flying to Miami!
  12. 30 days til 9 day Constellation out of Bayonne.....anyone else going? Got our docs today.......hooray!
  13. Docs came today for April cruise. Yippee! We paid for a guarantee inside and got an ocean view!........how lucky is that?!?!
  14. Would also love to hear if there's any big band type entertainment that my Mom would enjoy onboard the Explorer (she's 84 and this will be her 1st cruise)
  15. I've decided to take my 84 yr old Mom on a 5 night cruise in May....Royal Caribbean Explorer. Her main joy in life is eating so I want to check out what the dining options are. Since she wouldn't enjoy the main dining room thing, what dining options are included (without paying a cover or reservation fee)? Any help beforehand would be great!
  16. Way to go Hal! If we book on one of those cruises we'll definately participate! Wish other lines would "get on board" with this!....Celebrity, are you listening?
  17. Our next cruise is in 36 days (and counting) on Celebrity's Constellation. It will be a 9 day cruise out of Bayonne, NJ. We choice the Constellation just so we could check out the balcony cabins (we just went with inside cabins for this trip since it was a spur-of-the-moment decision) for the Oct 27th cruise we plan to book onboard. I loved the coziness of the smaller Zenith ship so I don't know how I'll feel about the Constellation. Another thing I noticed about the Zenith was that the passengers were really easy to strike up a conversation with and everyone only seemed to have nice things to say about the cruise. Well, gotta get back to staring at the calender and wishing the days away......
  18. I'm sitting here in my computer room looking at the calender with the days marked off til the cruise...36 days and it seems like an eternity! (the calender was my husband's doing....he's as addicted as I am!). It's rainy and cold and miserable here in Vermont and hard to believe that just 10 days ago we were enjoying sunshine and 80 degree weather. Saturday the temp got up to 58 here and the sun was shining. I got my shorts back out and did some yard work...I'm sure the neighbors thought I was nuts but I gotta show off my "cruise tan" before it fades  What does everyone else do to keep sane between cruises?
  19. This is a great group and I keep popping in to get my "not on a cruise but thinking about it" fix
  20. Actually, we almost broke even......and it's definately worth it
  21. Thanks all for the big welcome. I've gotta give you my new Cruise Crazy update...... Last fall my husband and I bought a 29' travel trailer with slide-out and camped a couple days each week before we had to put it up for the winter. Well,....last night he said to me, "ya know, if we sell the trailer we could go on alot more cruises". Of course I replied as any sane person would and said, "OK by me". The dealer is buying it back tomorrow. It's official, we're totally CruiseCrazy!
  22. Thanks all!...........you'll see me on lots now that I've found this great site!
  23. We just returned last week from our first cruise EVER........5 nights on the Zenith out of Miami. We got home and the next day we were already looking for another cruise. We booked an 11 night out of NJ on the Constellation. Well, 2 nights ago we decided that 7 months was too long to wait for another cruise so we booked a 9 night cruise on the Constellation April 19th. Are we nuts? Is this a mid-life crisis or what???
