  1. How cool is that!!!! Definitely our favorite destination without a doubt. Thanks Spotfin for sharing the great videos with us.
  2. Welcome Spotfin. So glad you've joined us Crazies, please post often.
  3. Bon Voyage....Hope you have a ball!!!!
  4. Yeah we're Platinum with Princess - they have great perks. The one we use the most is the free internet access, don't have to schlep my laptop around and nothing beats free!!!! Also love the Platinum express check in.
  5. Hey Joey, it's: Seattle At Sea At Sea San Diego At Sea Cabo San Lucas, Mexico At Sea Acapulco, Mexico Huatulco, Mexico At Sea Puntarenas, Coasta Rica At Sea Panama Canal Colon, Panama At Sea Aruba At Sea At Sea Ft. Lauderdale We got an excellent price on a 24 hour special by the cruiseline so we grabbed it. We have been to most of these ports on our last Panama Canal cruise. The only new ones for us will be of San Diego and Puntarenas, Costa Rica. We looooove the sea days....plenty of time to chill!!!!! We get back on the 12th October and then fly to Barcelona on the 27th. At least this first cruise will be very relaxing - that was our aim!!! Get our strength up for the go, go, go of Europe. The only problem - my diet will go out of the window
  6. Well this was a last minute decision. We are so excited - we have booked the Sun Princess from Seattle to Ft. Lauderdale through the Panama Canal on September 24th. 17 days....yippee!!!!! Because it was last minutes all balconies were sold out and we are waitlisted. Right now we have an outside gaurantee (just above the water line    ) hoping to be able to get a cancelled balcony before we sail. Anyone sailed this ship?
  7. Thanks for the clarification - where or how do I check my credit status?
  8. Hey Paula....how many cruises are required to be Elite - this is our 4th with X.
  9. Shannon, Fira is directly above (on the cliffs) where the tender drops us off. The path leading to the top run alongside the cable car. It's the same path that the donkey's walk up and down - one small problem......... it's full of donkey poop and very smelly. We saw a few people walking it, mostly backpackers that come to the island on the ferry, but it is walkable if you can tolerate the "other factors"!
  10. Diane, we're not Elite yet - only 4 X cruises, but I'm with you a good relaxed breakfast sounds good to us - we can make our final arrangements for debarkation at the CC party maybe? Joe, did you receive my info about the Tuscany tour?
  11. Welcome herbl38 - so glad you have joined this "Crazie" bunch, hope to see you posting often.
  12. For us it was something new. The Tropicale left from Tampa so we didn't have to travel, sounded like an excellent idea, so we went for it. Then the bug hit and the rest is history!
  13. Dancing with you Mary Lou - how exciting!!!!
  14. Last time we ended in Venice on Millennium as well. We weren't concerned about the colored tags as we had of course told them we are staying in Venice and were in one of the last groups anyhow. So we were able to at least not have to get up at 5:30 and rush to breakfast etc. We were off the ship at about 8:15 - so there will be plenty of time to have all day in Venice as this is pretty much the same time one would disembark for daily excursions at other ports. Disembarkation wasn't a zoo either because many, many people had left at 6:30 - 7:00 to get to the airport 2 hours before their International flights (plus 45 minutes at least travel to the airport). The ship is cleared by customs the day before, so people can leave whenever it suits them - at 4:00 am if they want to. So there isn't the same rush and crush as there is let's say on a Caribbean cruise. We could all meet at a quieter venue like Cova Cafe (or wherever would suit everyone) and then disembark together. Most hotels are 2 pm check in - but we always leave our bags at reception until later in the day.
  15. Diane I was thinking perhaps....that we (the Locanda group) should chill and get off the ship later, towards the end of disembarkation - if so, then it won't matter what color we have because you don't have to get off with your color, you can get off later, just not earlier. I'm sure check in time at the Locanda won't be 8 or 9 am - so does it really matter if we have a more leisurely disembarkation?????? Thoughts?
  16. We have a Sony Digital Video and a Sony digital Camera which we are thinking of replacing with a Nikon D70. Anyone own one?
  17. Thanks Diane and Joey for the taxi info. Everyone going to the Locanda - here's a suggestion. Let's meet at a designated area onboard at disembarkation time and we all leave together which should ensure that we'll all be on the same shuttle - and then share the water taxi rides to the Locanda. Any other suggestions?
