  1. Kayaking sounds fun but I am just so nervous about tipping over! Or not being able to get the hang of kayaking.
  2. Looking forward to Skagway! We are doing the Skagway Street Car City tour. :) We will be there on July 22!
  3. That is good to know, pretty much what I thought. This will be my husbands first cruise and I am REALLY hoping that he'll love it as much as I do. :D
  4. What is the average cost of ship's laundry? I've never done laundry or ordered the service while aboard a ship, but I just looked up the rates for Carnival. Self-service is $3.50 per washer or dryer load. To have the laundry people clean your clothes will cost between $2.00 and 7.50 per article, depending on what it is. Dry cleaning costs between $3.50 and $10.50 per item. I imagine the other lines rates would be similar. Of course, laundry services are free if you're a cruise line's top level loyalty member. We are going to Alaska for several weeks including a week on a cruise. I'm going to try to get laundry done before getting on the boat and then maybe after. I think it's a bit pricey plus who wants to waste time doing laundry while on board lol! Good to know if there's a clothing emergency, the option is there.
  5. I have heard that the cruise lines will offer deals if you book your next cruise while you are on a cruise. Is that true?
  6. We're planning on Alaska!! I've only been on 2 cruises and both were booked directly from RC. Some of theses websites/ offers look scary to me!
  7. Funny! No one likes a Magician/ illusionist or at least so far!
  8. Travis is a real bargain shopper and has been finding "deals" but I like the idea of booking through the cruise lines. What do you do? And if you go with the bargains what are some reputable sites? What about travel agents? I would be devastated if we showed up for our honeymoon to find that things aren't what they should be. Thoughts? Advice? Please and thank you
  9. I'm a joiner and Travis is a watcher but he'll join in with me from time to time :)
  10. I guess I'm on the other end of the spectrum. I totally would as long as I looked nice. I think dress shorts might be able to be pulled off. :) I once wore flip flops under my formal dress on one cruise! After all it's all still vacation! :D
  11. Not yet :\ We've got it figured out down to a month and as of right now August 2012 is the target! Now just to fine tune it! :)
  12. Hi everyone! I am re-new-ing myself :) I used to post often and am back. Since my hiatus I have gotten engaged and we are looking to go to Alaska for our honeymoon!! Travis, my better half has never been on a cruise so I am looking forward to showing him the greatness that is cruising!!
