  1. Great review, Jan. I was wondering if anyone else smelled that stench sometimes. I also smelled it in The Solarium. Also, the Bordeaux Dining Room is also a traditional dining room. That's where we had our set table every night. They must use both dining rooms for anytime and traditional dining.
  2. Great choices, Jan. Thanks for putting this together
  3. Great review MaryLou. You know I'm a big Celebrity fan too. I agree with you about Grenada. Nothing to write home about. So glad you had a great time. It's especially fun when you're cruising with friends.
  4. That was great, Jan! I was chuckling along, at your expense, only because every incident sounded like something I would do.
  5. Too funny!! Same as above - reminds me when my "only child" had friends over. Love the pic too.
  6. Those photos are amazing! Glad you got to see nature's show. We have to get back to Alaska. Haven't been since 2004.
  7. Thanks for the great review, MaryLou. Sounds like a great ship. Really want to sail to Bermuda.....some day.
  8. Sorry I didn't respond sooner, Debbie. We just had a "not so good" tour - one of those tours that you just pick up on the pier. Never again. He was just very inexperienced (only his 2nd tour group) and really didn't know what he was doing. It's a beautiful island. We went there on the Crazies group cruise in 2009. Others on this tour didn't see much that was bad about it. I knew better because, on the 2009 cruise, we had a much better tour.

  10. WOW! We were just on that same tour (same ship) 2 weeks ago. Never even thought that that could happen.
  11. Yes. We're sailing the Caribbean out of Fort Lauderdale on the Celebrity Eclipse (2 weeks) at the end of this month. St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Antigua, St. Lucia, Barbados, Bonaire, Curacao and Aruba. Looking forward to seeing Bonaire. Neither my hubby or I have ever been there.
  12. Thanks, Michael and Amy. As always, we're really looking forward to this cruise.
  13. Great interview, Jason. Looking forward to any and all of the new stuff you have in store for us.
  14. Thanks Debbie! We've been to Aruba and Curacao too. I can't find much on Bonaire either. I'm thinking it must be a fairly new port-of-call.
  15. We are sailing on the Celebrity Eclipse next month - 14 nights southern Caribbean. One of our last stops is the island of Bonaire. It is part of the Netherlands Antilles, along with Curacao and Aruba. Has anyone experienced this island? If so, what would you recommend as far as sightseeing, etc.? We are not beach goers. Thanks!
  16. We're going on the same ship in March as we did last February - Celebrity Eclipse. I was very disappointed in the muster drill. No attendance taken and we weren't even shown where our assigned lifeboat station was. We just gathered in a restaurant and had a slide show. It will be interesting to see if that has changed any. That cruise was shortly after the Concordia disaster and we were very disappointed that our drill was so poorly organized.
  17. Excellent review, MaryLou! Very strange about the DR assignments. Glad that didn't ruin your cruise. Also it's strange that they refurbished the rooms but forgot about the bathrooms. BTW....Happy Anniversary!
  18. Great review, Rose! This is a cruise we've wanted to do for a long time. Now this review makes me want to go even more.
  19. Just my 2 cents......If we have to choose between Turkey and Venice, I'd choose Venice. Also.....the time of year doesn't matter much to me. Jackie, I've even encountered that kind of "news" about the U.S. in our travels to Canada.
  20. We are definitely interested in this cruise. The Greek Isles, Venice, Rome are all on our bucket list. Even Turkey would be wonderful. I think 2 weeks is perfect and early June is great for us.
  21. A cruise port close to home. We would love to do this some day. http://www.freep.com/article/20120623/NEWS05/206230380/Detroit-is-home-port-for-Great-Lakes-cruise-ship-Yorktown?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|FRONTPAGE
