  1. OK. Before I leave for New Jersey to board the Celebrity Constellation, here's one more look at Royal Caribbean's SONG OF NORWAY. She is docked in San Juan - 1982. Notice the Viking Crown Lounge (the trademark at the time for the Royal Caribbean ships).
  2. Mary, welcome to Cruise Crazies!!!!

  3. I see we will both be in HALIFAX on October 8th. We're on the Celebrity Constellation. Looks like there's 4 ships in there that day. While on shore, look for the couple that looks like "tourists"-that will be us. By the way....Bon Voyage and have a great trip!
  4. Tim Couldn't find a photo with me on deck, but did have one of the Pinta that I took while on shore. And I did find one of me and my crew in the lounge. Longboysfan..... Those Viking Crown Lounges held about 50-60 passengers. Sometimes hard to find a seat up there.
  5. Thanks CRAZIES. Will have a review of the ship, destination and photos when we return.
  6. Welcome Sylvia to the Cruise Crazies!!!

  7. Welcome to Cruise Crazies!!

  8. Anyone remember Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines original ships with the VIKING CROWN LOUNGE aloft above pool deck and accessible only by climbing the staircase? Here's what she looked like. Anyone else have any "old" photos or stories to share? By the way....the original 4 ships - Song of Norway, Nordic Prince, Sun Viking, Song of America
  9. I see you are posted on the Fans of Celebrity. We are leaving in 3 days on the Celebrity Constellation for Canada/New England. We have previously sailed on the Infinity to Hawaii. You will really enjoy Celebrity. They are a cut above RCI and similar in "quality" to HAL. Celebrity has become our favorite cruise line after our 23 cruises. Have a great time on your 25th anniversary and BON VOYAGE.

  10. We won't be back from our cruise in time to wish you a BON VOYAGE, so here it is now. Have a great trip in a couple of weeks.

  11. Welcome Jack to Cruise Crazies!!!

  16. Welcome to Cruise Crazies, Reno.

  17. I guess we are the only ones to end up purchasing one of those "gemstone" globes. We picked this one up a few years ago in St. Maarten.
  18. Of course NCL made money during the 2nd quarter. Martha & I sailed with them on their South America cruise in April. Look for Celebrity to report record earnings for the last quarter of 2009 after we sail with them next month. Ha!
  19. We had a back-to-back on the Costa Romantica; Eastern and Western Caribbean. We generally book 12-15 months in advance so we requested that we have the same stateroom for both cruises and, indeed, that was possible. The only drawback on this particular cruise (which, by the way, was in 1999), was the entertainment remained the same on each of the 7 day legs, AND, we had to listen to the lifeboat drill instructions twice (in 5 languages EACH time). Other than that, no big problems with back-to-back. The UP side was the cost savings.
  20. Welcome to the Cruise Crazies.

  21. Glad to have you. Welcome to Cruise Crazies.

  22. Welcome to the Cruise Crazies.

  23. And one more from April, 2009. How about one from 1982..... OMG....did we used to look like that???
  24. We collect the typical "tourist" t-shirts and polo shirts from the ships (ones that have them) and we also keep and display our boarding passes on our world Map.
