I thougt rates were going down

I had read that due to the bad publicity lately, cruise prices would dip slightly. I don't see anything like that for the summer. Has anyone seen any prices go down??? Is that just for the off-season when lots of us can't go due to school calendars?

I don't see the "bad publicity" affecting prices at all. I think people are smart enough to figure out that it is media hype and cruises are still very safe and good value for money.

Our Jewel cruise in June has very few cabins available. I checked a couple of weeks ago on the RCI webpage and all D1 category cabins are gone . There are some E1's left, but the price is almost $200 more pp than we paid for a DI for both of us. E1 is one cat lower than D1.

Prices haven't gone down for my cruise in July.

One of my coworkers, who is a cruiseaholic, will not be cruising this year because of everything that is going on. We always compete to see who booked their summer cruise first. She sails on Royal Caribbean, and I on Carnival.

Our Sept CP cruise has reduced in price, not sure why, but is okay by us! We would guess hurricane fear, start of school, and size of ship. (3,100 paxs to fill) We've been told the ship is only 30% booked for our week.

Hurricane fears- Having been through the last two hurricane seasons in Florida I would be hard pressed to book between early August and October. Outside of that, I dont see prices dropping and believe me, I am always looking for a bargain.

Hello Iam going on the freedom of the seas nov5th and i see prices going up not down on her plus i have been looking for a mediterranean cruise next spring and the prices have went up 30% from two months ago? I think the only time we will see prices go down is if we have another 911

or gas prices hit $1 a gallon again. But i to keep looking for deals

TA just called to inform us the total reduction in price of our CP cruise is $439.00. Sounds good to us!
