Joanandjoe
Let's correct that. We needed to ask on the Zenith, and you'll probably have to ask on the Mercury. That's why this is a pet peeve: vegetarian menu items should be on the main menu: a vegetarian (or people like us who try to have occasional non-meat days) shouldn't have to ask for a special menu. teacp
I aksed for a diabetic menu on our last Carnival cruise.........I should have know from previous trips that Carnival lists their low carb items under the regular items so it was not a problem for me............ Mebert
Joanandjoe,Thanks for the heads up. I would not have know to ask for a vegetarian menu. Is that the dining procedure for menus on all of Celebrity's ships? I'll actually be sailing on the Mercury. Joanandjoe, I agree with you. My traveling companion sometimes enjoys my vegetarian entree more than he enjoys his meat or fish. Meat eaters might enjoy a variety of foods that sometimes don't include meat. It would be great if Celebrity would put everything on the menu and let everybody choose from it. teacp, I'm really glad that Carnival had something that you could enjoy. sailingrose
It's odd that Celebrity doesn't have the vegetarian listing on the menu. RCI did but now that I think about it, the Mercury didn't have it when we were aboard.
jacketwatch
 Actually my wife, who is from India has always requested Indian food on the first night and has received it w/o a problem. Usually it is pretty good. In fact when we were on the CCL Destiny it was VERY good. The head chef was Indian and as I learned later was featured on a Tracel channel show about how cruise lines prepare food wise for a trip.
