What I hate is that the Rhapsody will be leaving for asia and not doing the Sept,Oct, or Nov. Cruises anymore to the western caribbean thats when we cruise and why we chose Carnival we are Locked in on those months due to our Vacations and our likes for October, better prices and cooler weather! RCCL Has no other ship to replace the Rhapsody for those months I stated Ive asked :wink2: and looked for those months nothing! :rolleyes2:

Don And Becky,

Back to add one thing I forgot to say earlier. In making our own decision between the two same cruises / cruise lines, one of the deciding factors for me was the cabin sizes. RCI ship (forgetting the name) has much smaller cabins than the Carnival Conquest. That's comparing apples to apples. Of course, the suites on one are larger than the inside on the other. The Conquest inside is 185 sq ft, and outside is 220. I eventually went outside because it was a nice compromise for me. It wasn't too extravagant, got me my view, and had the extra space. The Conquest also has a whole lot of balcony suites. it wasn't worth it to me price wise, plus the loss of cabin space (i believe. Not positive, but from asking questions I came to understand that the Balcony's are 185 PLUS the balcony space.) Now, what class we're in is a "guarantee" which means I will get at least an ocean view but have an opportunity to be upgraded. I actually hope I'm not. Unless of course it's an upgrade to a suite. I suppose I could deal with that ;-) heh.

Have fun deciding!

:cool2: Hello Don and Becky; Supposedly the new bedding on Carnival beats just about everything else. as for food I would go w/ Carnival or Princess personally. Not sure about the topless thing but call them to find out. Have fun! Larry :cool2:

"Our agent at Carnival said that we will be getting a "real" king sized bed. The two twins are put together and the top mattresses removed and replaced with a king size Carnival Comfort mattress."

Maybe they do that for the larger rooms. We were on Carnival last month and had an oceanview cabin and they didn't remove the top mattress. It was still two twins pushed together. The new bedding was okay, but we always take it off right away anyway...it's used as a blanket AND a bedspread, so everyone and his brother have sat on it, and whatever else they do on it. We brought our own blanket and pillows.

I will say the new bedding is better than they used to have.
