GottaCruz
I forgot to tell you in my review, how impressed I was with how RC handled those dreaded chair hogs. First of all, I couldn't believe that people reserved lounge chairs with pieces of fruit. How impersonal can you get??? I had never seen that one before . On all our Carnival cruises, I've only seen chairs reserved with personal objects like shoes, books, suntan lotion , tee shirts, etc. On the Enchantment, there was just plain old bananas and apples, one per chair , like they had fallen out of the sky. The pool deck looked ridiculous. The situation is, on this ship, that you get a pool towel in your room , one per person , and you must use that towel at pool. At the end of the day, you have to bring it back to your room and you get new ones when your room is made up. Well, that didn't seem to phase anyone because whatever chairs weren't fruited were covered with just a towel. Well, we were amazed when we saw a RC employee going around and removing the towels and the fruit. In their daily paper, there is a 30 minute rule. If the chair is unoccupied for at least 30 minutes, your towel is removed. So, this person went around, he must have been keeping his eyes on certain chairs, and he removed them . Now, that's what I call enforcing the rules. Very impressed with that.

jaschem1
Yes, I have noticed that too. It is almost impossible to get a lounger by the pool. The Costa had 3,000 passengers, too many, and I just forgot it. We get up real early and hit the jacuzzi's before the kids get up. I am glad to see more pool and spa areas with adults only. I would love to see more loungers on the decks to sit in. I don't want to spend all my time on my balcony. This is also true in the shows onboard. People will fill up the tables to watch the shows and not order any drinks. I think people who order drinks should be allowed to sit down and watch. Just my opinion. Lots of times, entertainment in the lobbies, piano bars, etc. in the centers of the ships; people just sit down to rest leaving us who want to participate in the entertainment standing. I guess this is ok, but these areas of entertainment should not just be for people not interested, but just want to sit and chat.
hazelson
Cheryl it's great to see rules actually being enforced on cruise ships - RC deserves a thumbs up for that one.
Bathfizzy
Why would someone reserve a chair with a piece of fruit? Where are they when they are not in the chair? Are they swimming? or are their friends reserving it for them and hope they show up eventually? I think that is rather rude and I am glad the RC employee removed the towels and fruit.
