Just booked our next cruise!

Hi all,

Just booked our next getaway...this will be an easy one for us. No airlines, we just just have to drive down to the Los Angeles port about an hour away and board the Norwegian Star for a cruise to the Mexican Riviera.

This one includes Cabo San Lucas, Acapulco and Ixtapa. We enjoyed NCL in Hawaii so much, we wanted to try freestyle with an international crew and see how that goes. It's an 8 night cruise, and we're looking forward to it.

Thank you Robert! I miss you all very much too, but have been extremely busy lately. What else is new?

Today we went to the cemetery...it's been two years already since my Mom passed away, and a few weeks ago we moved my Dad into a retirement residence about 4 miles from here. He lived here with us for the two years, but we could see him withdrawing into a shell, no matter how many things we tried to get him involved in. At the retirement place, he has loads of people to talk to, activities going on, and he LOVES the food....hmmm, what does that say about MY cooking? LOL!

In addition, of course, I've been keeping up with my sweepstaking hobby, and we recently went to Vegas and to San Fran, both win trips. This past week I won another Vegas trip that we will take in a few weeks (my oldest son and daughter-in-law live there, so we do the 'visiting' thing, not the 'gambling' thing), and this trip includes tickets to see the Blue Man Group, and yesterday I won an iPod, so I've been trying to figure that out!

I hope you are all okay. I'll try to pop in more often.

I am really look forward to your observations about the international crew on NCL... I must say since Celebrity has ceased to do the Mexican runs it has left us somewhat scrambling for a last minute getaway line...

For our end of October DP birthday Cruise....we opted to try Princess (on the Golden) for the first time to the Mexican Rivera also...(but our sailing won't go as deep south as you will plus ours is only a 7 nighter )...

Depending on your feelings and those of others I read on the internet... we may also opt to try NCL if we have a strong desire to do the Rivera a 3rd time..
