I think one of the best points was to " walk" and "avoid elevators" I have often seen posts ( here and other boards) where posters lament that they were too far from the elevators, or that the ship was too big and they had to walk too much! Move it to lose it!

Hi Nicu, Welcome aboard, I second DaCruzNuts recommendation that you just taxi it to Chankanaab Park. You will save alot of money on your own and the taxi drivers all know where it is! Use the extra dough you saved to indulge in an exspensive drink( you know the kind with an"umbrella" in it!) on the ship! Shore excursions with the ship are always way more money, plus it's their timetable not yours, many worry about missing the ship if travelling on their own, but we never have, take your watch( make sure it's set on ship time!) and leave your self plenty of return time and you will be fine! Enjoy!

Thanks , I will keep everyone posted! If the cabin is nice in other respects then we wil be happy, ( It's not like we will be seperated by the Grand Canyon LOL)

Help, we have just recieved our cabin ass. today( we had booked a BC guarantee, but had no ass. cabin) and it says it is a "non -converting twin"!! Why can't this cabin convert its beds? Is it an odd cabin? Can we and should we ask for a change? We are not cruising till April 17th so could we be upgraded again?? It is L235 which appears to be on the Lido deck, is this a good deck to be on, is it very busy with traffic to the pool etc? Any insight apprieciated!

I can totally understand how some of those persons who have to use an "aide" to get around would prefer one that allows them to stand. People can "talk down" to people sitting in a wheelchair( or scooter). Unfortuantely I also can see why the segways are being banned from crowded places, they can and do "zip around" through people and there is a danger of someone being hit. I understand that segways travel faster and are more manuerable then either chairs or scooters, which is why they are a bit more " risky" in crowds. I have no idea what a solution would be that would please both sides of the argument, but I see both sides!

I second the cold drinks ( be it Pepsi or Coke) . Princess does have the little fridge which is nice, it would be nicer if they stocked it with some pop and may-be even a few cold beers! Extra pillows are always nice,and cozy ( not pilly) blankets. I like nice shampoos etc. but don't like the plastic or cardboard containers some of them come in. Fresh fruit, well I get it myself! But I rarely have room for it after each huge meal!! LOL :wink:

A DRINK THAT COSTS 8 DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my that is like us ( canadains) paying almost 12 bucks for a drink. Please tell me it was at least a triple!!! And that was a "special?" ?? Too rich for my blood!

Hey Jason, those are pretty good for a " phone camera" !!The pictures are a bit grainy, but the colour isn't bad, and I liked the composition or the one called "panned out".

Hi I've only sailed on Carnival( twice) and Princess( once) .Much prefer Princess, better food, nicer ship( not so neon and plastic looking decor) .Will be on Princess again in April so it will interesting to see if we still think it is as great as we remember it being.

Everyone who travels out of the country SHOULD have a passport. You are leaving your country and entering foriegn ones. Barbados will soon be REQUIRING a passport for entry. And it is any countries RIGHT to demand one before granting entry. The birth cert. and DL that are used by many are a COURTESY extended to Americans, but can be revoked at any time. I absolutely do not understand the Amercian reluctance to obtain and use the proper Id.. If someone could explain to me I would appreiciate it . It costs about 80 bucks and it is good for 10 years. I KNOW that many of you spend more on your weekly ( daily!) bar bill when cruising, so I asssume its not the money!?

I'm a hand washer and I sure wish more people werre, and remember that splashing your finger tips under a running tap( like see many people do in washrooms) is not washing!!!
