  1. Gogetter we were upgraded to the obstructed view balcony on the Legend and it was great - we went from a 4A!!! We were on deck 5 and looked over the lifeboat.
  2. Congrats Keith and Rita - we are dancing with you as we just recieved ours too!!!!!
  3. DHL called this afternoon looking for our house, all the addresses in town were recently changed because of enhanced 911 and our new number wasn't quite visible, I walked out on the porch with the phone and waved to the guy! Guess what he had - our docs for January - seems a little early but what the heck. Funny part is that this is the first day that I've been home in the afternoon in about a month or more! Timing is everything.
  4. I'll have to say that we recently purchased the pillows, sheets and duvet cover!!!! WOW is the only word that comes to mind!!! Would like to buy the mattress but not in our budget this year.
  5. Welcome Back!!!! Hope you had a fantastic time!!!
  6. Joey and David - You guys have the time of your lives!!! Take lots of pics and we'll hear all about when you get back!! Or when we see you in January
  7. Never cruised to Alaska, but lived there for 3 1/2 yrs, late June early July are the warmer months!!! You might also want to do the overland trip which includes - train trip to Denali (Mt McKinley) and then to Fairbanks, with a bus ride back to Anchorage. Well worth it in my opinion!!!
  8. Since our next cruise is in January and we weren't sure about the passport requirements, as far as I know they will be required but that could change. We got our documents together, filled out the forms and brought them to our local county clerk. No problem with my 16yr old, Karen had a passport that had expired a good 15 years ago but they used it instead of her birth certificate, but my birth certificate was deemed unacceptable. Because of its age and condition, I guess after almost 50 years of sitting around all folded up it was in almost 4 pieces, understandable  County clerk stated that there was a possiblity that the State Dept could refuse to accept it and it would most likely hold up and delay the process. Not to mention the fact that I would have to pay part of the fee again. I suppose the point that I am trying to make is if you have a birth certificate that sounds like it is in the condition that mine is in it might behove you to get new(reissue) one so as not to hold up getting your passport!!! Prices vary from state to state, NY and CA being the most expensive but cheaper than paying the extra fees to reprocess the passport paperwork. Since Karen was the one who has done this more than once(for herself, daughters boyfriend, and me) she would be the one with that information if you need it!!!
  9. No we didn't - but we did book early and recieved past guest discounts plus upgrades
  10. Prices right now are about $150 to $200 more according to the Carnival web site, but we know how that goes, prices should drop(?) again closer to the sailing date. Unless they completely book the ship.
  11. Just thought that I would bump this up, so far we have 2 cabins and I believe that Maria and Ken have another 4 cabins booked. Maria can you update your side? Anyone else who would like to join us - feel free to!
  12. I think that I will grab a snack and one last drink and head to bed!!! Good night all - it was fun - we'll have to do it again real soon!!!
