  1. After the first cruise - we always go late. Relax and enjoy. Table size does not matter.
  2. If this is an Alaska tour - yes they could be doing it. They run a similar stand alone tour like that where you fly in and fish for a week. They will prep and mail home up to 200lbs. of fish. So this may be of the same type. Salmon or Halibut I think. My friends husband did this a few years back and loved it.
  3. Just pack a sweater. It may get cool at night. If it does - go off ship and see how the locals handle the cool weather. ;)
  4. http://www.meyerwerft.de/page.asp?la...ubs=0&did=1535 This is the 5th order for a Solstice class ship. Also looks like they will move the Century, Mercury, Galaxy to another line or brand within RCCL. As the Solstice series comes on line the old "C" Class ships will move off.
  5. Correct!!!! Now think over the clue and look at the deck plan if you have too. Maybe read a cruise review or two - not necessairly on this board. This will help.
  6. You could say there was a slightly larger "V" we got on the room. Looking at the ship layout this room looks bigger than the standard ines of the same type.
  7. What month will the trip be - in 2008. March Here you get two shots 1) What is the deck level 2) Stateroom type. You don't hae to make both choices at one time.
  8. What month will the trip be - in 2008. March Darn... That was a quick correct guess.
  9. O.K. We had the correct guess..... Maybe I just like leaving from FLL too much. What month will the trip be - in 2008.
  10. Two points on this one. Next clue tomorrow.
  11. Hopefully this will provide some fun for the cruisers.... I'll post clues starting today and give points based on the correct - only one guess though per person. Declare the correct when guessed in the time period. But if no correct guesses then we will move on. Here is where you crafty cruisers who can search out just about anything informational will have an advantage. I'm going on a cruise....... 1) What line do you think I will be on. Good Luck....... will check back on Monday or so.
  12. And the answer is..... Right outside the cruise terminal is the entrance to the Lincoln Tunnell. So on the weekend there is not a lot of traffic. Go out of the tunnell - it's free to leave NYC. Up the helix - a large ramp - on route 3 to the turnpike south. Go the turnpike to exit 11 - Garden State Parkway. GSP south - and you are there in about an hour and a half. Depending the time of year - Summer is the worst - traffic varies. Be careful of the tour busses and Corzine speeding to an appointment. ;)
  13. I would look to trade to someone for some $$$ or get it to someone who would like it.
  14. Wife loves sea days. Just sit out and enjoy. Also we have been to just about all the ports in the Caribbean many times and just go for a short walk - maybe. If we dock early I run on land then see what is about there. The ship is the trip for us.
  15. Take the inside. If it is truly a 5/6 star line the inside room will be just as good as the 3/4 star room. No view - sit on deck. Plus the 5/6 star line will have a lot of extras to offer.
  16. I think a plug outlet next to the door - inside the room next to the balcony could be done. Outside - No. It would be a nightmare for the repair crews. I would like a full length mirror somewhere - for the ladies we travel with - where they are not blocked by the bed. I also thing that an additional pull out from underneatl to a lock out position for the desk you sit at could help a bit. The doors in the bath tub are a no go as to ship movement - they would have to be on the heavy side. At the bottom of the closet - the double one - a shelf you could store a large piece of luggage under. We normauul don't carry anything that reaches to the bottom of the closet anyway. As I use this - with a plastic bag for the used cruise clothes.
  17. I do not think the housing market or the EURO v the Dollar have anything to do with the domestic cruises leaving from US soil or Canada. I do think that there will be more Canadians on the ships. Well you get the point. But back to the question - I think these factors will not stop the constant cruisers. It may hold back some of the new cruisers - as the cost right now may stop them from this.
  18. Two favorite Ports to leave from - FLL - nice and close to airport. Port Liberty - right next to home - 1/2 hour drive on a Saturday or Sunday.
  19. Thanks. I was on a one year free subscription that just ran out.
  20. Many times. The wife is usually either number 1 or two in cruises with the line when we go on the ship. Plus we get Captains table invites. It's nice.
  21. Between the games they have inside the ship to do. The wife and I bring cards to play our continuing game of 500 Rummy. And she has a game of tiles based on this also - "Rummy-O". Which she spanks - smacks - kicks and generally runs me over playing. Last trip it was at a 9 to 2 count on her side. Sit out in the Sushi resturant and have card or board fun. Someone always walks by to chat to.
  22. Just wondering. I got a personal tour last weekend by my friend. I was hoping with a lot of views there would be more replies. Also this was a post 9-11 ship visit question. Thanks.
  23. Great news..... Somone is on 24 by 7 in the world.
