  1. Jerry had me call on one of those "you one" mailings. It was a "meeting" in a room at a hotel. The FREE round trip cruise was going to cost us over $400/person for taxes and fees. I told the guy on the phone where he could stuff the information. This salesman tried to convince me that this was a deal that I could not afford to pass up. I told him that if he persisted in contacting me that I would contact the police. Never got another postcard again. Truly, if it's too good to be true, it's too good to be true. Kinda like the cruise that is advertised in the paper. Worst cabin in the ship - but it gets you to make the phone call!
  2. Enjoy the Caribbean Princess. I know that we did (probably about 11 years ago, that is. You'll be leaving soon enough ...
  3. Guess I should have looked down a little before I hit send! Wow. Enjoy your back to back
  4. Start packing! The Norwegian Spirit will be sounding it's horns, whistles, whatever in no time. ENJOY
  5. Always loved seeing the Oasis from the Carnival balcony in Ft Lauderdale.

  10. Sounds devine! Cannot wait for your May cruise!
  11. Dawnya, welcome. (You don't look old enough to have a son taking a girlfriend on a cruise with you!) You will love the Caymans and Cozumel. Lots of snorkeling, sightseeing, culture, shopping, etc. And a huge family and friends travelling together will make the vacation even more memorable. We did something similar (5 separate rooms) and the only thing that we said was, "if you can - we would like that everyone eats dinner together as a family". That type of no pressure really worked with our group. As it turned out, most of us did a lot of the activities together. Our dinner conversations were always filled with what we did, who we did it with, etc., etc.
  12. With 10 cruises under your belt, I'm anxious to read the good, the bad and the ugly. Welcome to the best website about cruising!
  13. Glad you found us and posted your upcoming cruise on Roll Call. Can't wait to read more about you and your cruising adventures.
  14. We would love to take advantage of the no where cruises. It's like sea days. Sometimes we don't even care if we stop at an island.
  15. Bayside is considered downtown Miami. Not close to the pier at all. I like that you found a place that has free shuttle and breakfast. Makes up for any price difference.
  16. I haven't discounted this cruise, though. I keep the itinerary on the kitchen counter. Last time I did that was for our spur of the moment Alaska cruise. When I finally threw the paper out, Jerry thought I had booked it. Had to rummage through the trash and recover the paper.
  17. Welcome. Glad you found us. Drop in on any of our threads. We look forward to meeting you
