  1. When you move, you move. And I thought I was fast. You go girl!
  2. Dear Tom: I have to agree that what they offered wasn't very special either. We had a similar experience with NCL when we were in Hawaii. They up and decided to change the itinerary - not because of bad weather. Because they had left one of their crew on an island and had to turn back. EVERYONE on the ship stormed the lobby and complained. We got a whopping $2.30 for our inconvenience (total, both of us!) Sealed our thoughts on NCL
  3. This would certainly make me want to travel on another cruise line. Let's hope they make the March cruise spectacular.
  4. Enjoy your Celebrity Eclipse cruise. I cannot wait to read your itinerary, etc.
  5. Cctkct2 is cruising with "family" on the Carnival Magic. I hope your vacation cruise is wonderful. Bon Voyage
  6. Enjoy the Allure of the Seas. I know it leaves out of Ft Lauderdale because I have seen her from our balcony on the Carnival Freedom a number of times. She's a beautiful ship. Have a great cruise.
  7. Thankfully February is a short month and you don't have to wait too too long for your Quantum of the Seas cruise. Had a wonderful time. Come back and tell us where you are going, etc.
  8. I hope they compensated you for any inconvenience.
  9. Tell me about this cruise. Sounds fantastic. We've been looking at Galveston as a departure port. The flights from Tucson to TX however are more than the cost to Florida. Gotta figure that cost in as well.
  10. Gotta love your login name. Can't wait to read about your get-aways
  11. Glad you found us. Jump in so that we can get to know you and you us
  12. Welcome. Jump in to a forum and just type, type, type. It's pretty much what we all do
  13. John and Robin, jump in to any of the forums and add a thought or two. You'll be out of the inside cabin in no time
  14. I could absolutely retire on a cruise ship. I think it would be cheaper than a retirement community. You have everything that you could ever ask for: delicious food, medical care, beauty palor, laundry services and new people to meet and visit with all the time. What more could a retiree ask for? Jerry and I tease about this all the time, but in reality - we will jump at this if the situation presents itself.
  15. Congrats on your booking. We found the "free-style" to not be so easy, until we figured out what we had to do. Make your dinner reservation the night before. If you wait and head to the dining room that night, you might have a 45-60 minute (or longer) wait. The smaller dining room filled up first and we had difficulties getting in to that one most of the time.
  16. Call me old-fashioned. But I think vacation time (especially cruise time) is a perfect opportunity to DISCONNECT. I get why the cruise lines are doing this and applaud Carnival for offering something that is affordable. However ...
  17. As I was reading this article, I was hoping that they would say, "and all of this is on our ship while it is docked" But good for them for thinking "how can we treat our customer and be competitive?"
  18. Thank you. "There's no place like home ..."
  19. You will LOVE your new knee. Hope your 2-day to nowhere is exactly the break that you need (get it? Breakaway)
