  1. There should be a contact mailing address. If phone calls and emails don't work, I would write a letter and send it certified mail, return receipt requested. You would then have proof that someone received the letter. YIKES is all I have to say. Sorry.
  2. Please come back and tell us about your cruise.
  3. I have a friend that only takes river cruises. She says that the size of the ship allows them in ports that most of the big ship never get to see. She loves river cruises. For the most part, they are out of my price range. But who knows ... when I hit it big ... (One can dream, right?)
  4. I feel so badly for those who waited forever for their cruise vacation. None of us can foresee bad weather. YIKES this was a doozie
  5. I wish I could announce our next cruise, but cannot. I still can't get Jerry to commit to travelling with me to Boston in April. I have a conference and enough SW points for his flight. Go figure
  6. There is always the Sea Aquarium We've gone there a couple of times and never tire of it. South Beach in Miami is a hoot - especially at night time.
  7. This was a number of years ago, but we stayed at the Sea Side motel and found it to be perfectly fine. Not too expensive. Not a dive. Right across from the beach. Walking distance to stores.
  8. I abide by both secrets but I don't get to cruise like you guys
  9. can I come along? Have a great vacation
  10. WOW. I wish I could do what you are doing.
  11. We've tendered into Belize each time. This time, however, was the first time that the "port" was gussied up ... stores, stores and more stores. Certainly a big change from the first time when we were "dropped off at a parking lot where the flea market was held." I know that where we tender in Belize is dirt poor. With that being said, I love that country, the people and all of the excursions and adventures that we have done there.
  12. Here's may take: if you cannot afford "to lose the money", then you need to purchase travel insurance. While I don't necessarily agree with the time deadlines, I can certainly understand the predicament that the cruise industry is under. They want to insure that every sailing is full or near full. And I'm guessing that they don't want to undercut the pricing "at the last minute".
  13. Happy sailing! Cannot wait to read your reviews
  14. Good for them! I can tell you that Jerry and I taste the difference between cage free and not
  15. We just got back from Belize. One of the parties that cruise with us did the ruins in Belize and in Mexico. They said that both were so well worth it. Different things to see and different cultures. I always look at how much time the excursion takes and what the cost is per hour. Perhaps that type of justification can help you decide. No matter which one you pick, I know you won't be disappointed.
  16. Congrats on your cruise. We have gone to Atlantis a number of times. My suggestion is the land taxi. While the water taxi is cheaper, you spend a lot of time waiting for the darn thing to fill up. We never paid for an excursion at the Atlantis. We wandered around, ate, gambled, shopped, etc. Of course they will charge you if you want to use their facilities. We also did a catamaran ride the last time were were there. Well worth the money and the snorkeling was really good. There is also a straw market where you can wander around and buy truly worthless crap. Have a great cruise
  17. We don't drink alcohol so an all inclusive isn't appealing to us. I guess you need to figure out what your onboard expenses are and if the all inclusive can meet or beat that cost. My overall guess is the ship wins. Why else would they offer this?
