schatje
Congrats on DDM Joe and Joan, we are sending you positive thoughts from Wisconsin that you will be on the cruise and have the time of your life.
elfed
Keep up your spirits Joan and Joe. I know what this is like having had to cancel a March 2007 cruise because of mainly financial reasons. I keep saying to myself I'm lucky to have any kind of job at my age (62) but still, after 37 years with the same company you would think my take home pay would be higher than a new employee. Not so! It is a worry for you I'm sure. But you still have a ways to go yet before your cruise. I bet you'll be on it. Regards, James.
Joanandjoe
Thanks for the kind thoughts, James. We've had two cancelled cruises: one for medical reasons (kidney stone), one because we replaced a Caribbean cruise with a Med. cruise. We've done much worse with non-cruise vacations: in my six years on my present job, about half my scheduled non-cruise vacations were moved, cancelled, or otherwise messed up. That's a major incentive to cruise. Now that we've made our final payment, this cruise had better take place! Joe
GottaCruz
Congratulations, JOan and Joe on your DDM status. You WILL be on that cruise. I have a feeling that this cruise will be your absolute best. Think postive and enjoy the anticipation.

Joanandjoe
Exectly, Lilrosie. At ship to shore phone rates, they really have to need you badly to call you. That didn't stop them from calling my company's Chief Counsel in June when he was on the Noordam in the Med., but it's a deterrent. We filed our federal tax return today, and I quit work early. After our weekend in Phiily this weekend, I should be active again. Meanwhile, I'm exhausted but home out of the rain. Thanks again, everyone, for the good wishes.
