Only 14 more days 'till we leave for Galveston. We are sailing on the Conquest and have never been on a ship this big before. I hope it is not too big for our liking. I guess we will see. We are also on the Lido deck and have never been that high before in a stateroom. Once again hope it is not too high for our liking. I'm sure I will like the accessibility to to buffet. Of course as long as we are at sea we are happy.

Bought Jimmy's new cd last night. It is ok but not his best stuff by far.

Have a great evening all.

We loved the Conquest but she is big and can be a little confusing. If you have the Carnival brochure from your TA - clip out the page that has the Conquests deck plans and take that along with you. They give you a little map when you board but it's not as good.Finding the dining room takes about a week LOL.

Have a great cruise!!!!

agentjoey, If you haven't already done so, feel free to post your cruise date to our CruiseCrazies calendar . You can also go to the "Meeting Hall", post your cruise and see if any other Crazies are sailing with you. And congratulations on being in DDM. (Double Digit Mode) and soon to be SDM(Single Digit).

Agent Joey - we are sailing on the Conquest in 13 months. I know it is a long way out but one of our traveling companions is undergoing rediation right now and we bumped it out a year to give her the time the dr. said she would need to recover. The Conquest is 110,00 tons and the biggest we have been on are several ships in the Destiny class, which are 101,000 tons, but I don't think the extra 9,000 tons is going to make that much difference to us. We will be one deck lower than you are, on the Verandah deck in cabin 8301. When I looked at the deck plan, I discovered we are directly belew the pool and party area, and I called the travel agent to change cabins bt she has assured me that she just sailed on that ship and was in the same area and could not hear a thing. I hope she is right!!! Happy sailing and I look forward to hearing your views of the ship upon your return.
